Beetnut used to be an ok place to eat pre-covid. Since covid times I ate here 4 times and every time it was a big disappointment. Apart from the time when half my company got food poisoning after a company order, today I went to Beetnut for brunch to give them one last chance. Firstly, the menu is reduced compared to pre-covid menu. Beetnut is understaffed hence the waiting time was more than 30min (for a not full terrace) and the set up is complete self service with take away boxes even when you eat at their terrace. Anyhow, when we finally got our orders (after some confusion on what exactly we ordered), the food was plain/bad. The dal soup was ok, but the avo-kale toast was bad- avocado was a dark, unappealing color -as if it was prepared a long time ago and oxidated. Also, unfortunately there were too many chilly flakes on the toast so it was pretty hard to eat. Later the waiter came over to apologized and brought 2 raw balls for my friend and me to say sorry for the spices. He was kind and genuine in his apology. Unfortunately I won’t be coming back to Beetnut ever again. In the past this place had ok food that was nice for pictures, today it’s just plain bad food with customer service that means self-service.......

I am blown aways by this place! I found it by searching for a vegan, gluten free, healthy brunch option and found this incredible gem! There are many plant-based options, and they cater to an allergen-friendly diet by offering many things gluten free as well. The food was incredible, loaded with flavor and nutrient content. But what blew me away was the intelligence and foresight of one particular employee Laura Baumgărtner that knew I was vegan and gluten free, and caught a mistake in my order before I put it into my mouth. Not only am I gluten free by choice and health preference, but I am celiac and highly sensitive to any traces of gluten. Laura ensured that the golden milk latte I ordered with oat milk was caught and exchanged for almond milk before I took a sip. I am eternally grateful to her for saving my health during my week vacation in Switzerland. If it were not for her professionalism and insightful qualities, I would be having severe gastrointestinal issues for the entire week that would ruin my vacation. Thankfully, there are allergen-friendly places like this and employees like Laura that have helped my vacation in Zurich to be enjoyable without unfortunate issues such as an allergic reaction...

I reserved this place for an easy birthday dinner as we like plant based food and we have two noisy kids. I liked the interior and food meniu on internet, but when we came it was so dissapointing. The waiter greeted us and told that our 'reserved' table was over 'there'... We went 'there' and our 'reserved' table was completely dirty, my daughter even refused to sit by it. I calmed her telling that you will see, until we go to the toilet, someone will come to assist us and to clean our 'reserved table' (of course). After we were back, the table was still dirty and my husband was dissapointed for the service (we still even didn't have a meniu). We still waited for 10 min. more, no one came and not because they were busy. Actually the place was almost completely empty (on Saturday evening) and all the staff was by the bar arguing between themselves in foreign languages. In the end we just decided to leave instead of waiting or ordering. No one stopped us 😊. What a dissapointing experience,...

BEETNUT is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for creative, healthy, and delicious food in Zurich. Almost all dishes can be made gluten-free, and the staff is very knowledgeable, making it a safe and enjoyable experience. The ingredients are super fresh, and the flavor combinations are unique and incredibly well-balanced. I tried the Scrambled Tofu Bagel with coconut, veggies, curry & salad—absolutely delicious and now one of my favorite dishes in Zurich. They also offer a great selection of trendy drinks like Matcha, Golden Milk, Blue Milk & more. The atmosphere is modern and inviting, making it a great place to relax, work, or catch up with friends. The concept is well thought out, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Highly recommend for anyone looking for gluten-free and plant-based options in Zurich!

I went there for the first time to have breakfast w/my girlfriends and celebrate one of my friends birthday. The place itself is beautiful, you find yourself surrounded by beautiful natural plants. The food was great with a few attractive vegan options. I went with the Avocado/Kale toast, delicious!! The Vegan Prosecco with Hibiscus juice was amazing... The staff was friendly and helpful, and there was this girl Elena, she spoke Spanish and was very welcoming, she took the best care of us and made us feel special. Did I mention the staff sang happy birthday for my girlfriend and upgraded our order of prosecco? We will be going back for sure, I now want to take all my friends to BeetNut <3 Totally recommend.
