What can possibly be better than this nice spot along the river in Zurich, we thought? Clearly stated outside that we could order a sandwich, that is all we wanted for our lunch. At first, the waitress was very friendly taking our order for mozarella SANDWICHES, but when the order came, she gave us the mozarella SALAD, telling us the sandwich was NOT on the menu. It wasn't indeed but it was written on a suggestion bord outside. The salad was 20 CHF for just some mozarella and tomatoes (FYI: the sandwich we wanted was 7 CHF). When we argued, she mentioned the sandwich was for take-away (which was NOT mentioned on the suggestion bord) and after some back and forth comments, she told us we could leave if we did not want to eat the food. Now I wonder if we got the salad from someone who left before us... Ended up paying 120 CHF for lunch with 6 people, which is super super over prized for what we got, and the lady was not even nice. I recommend you buy lunch in a bakery and eat it along the riverside, you will have the exact same beautiful view but not the worst service ever. This almost ruined my trip...
Read moreA cash-only place in Switzerland? What a joke. Their menu claimed they feared from hackers, hence why they do not accept card payment! It is a pity that this place does not take advantage of their fabulous location. The waitress showed up and asked what we would like to order instead of handing out a drink menu in first place. There were only two people in duty at the time when we were there, although the place was pretty packed. One of the waitresses was hardly seen outside. The one waiting our table was fairly composed and cheerful despite the pressure that she must have been the only waitress waiting tables. One thing that I liked is that nibbles were inclusive of the price. We did not order any meals, thus I can't comment on their quality. In Swiss terms, this place is a let-down. We popped into it on a whim without checking their Google reviews, so we had no qualms whatsoever about how it...
Read moreI attended the coffee shop this afternoon. Just after taking my seat with my husband, the waitress (Christian) behind me tripped and caused milk to spill on my jacket. My husband and other patrons saw the incident and in particular the mess that was caused to my jacket as a result of the spillage. However, the waitress who caused the mishap , chose to blame my jacket for causing her to trip and refused to apologize to me nor to take any responsibility whatsoever for the damage to my jacket. In fact she was downright rude to me and the guests who witnessed the incident were shocked and appalled by her behavior stating that it was inappropriate and unprofessional. Needless to say I will not be returning to the coffee bar and urge any potential customers to similarly stay clear of such place with an awful attitude and even...
