We stopped by Hype Coffee after a long run, and honestly it felt like the perfect reward. The name made me smile a little because it really did live up to the hype. The barista was super friendly and welcoming, which immediately set the tone for a good experience. The coffee itself was solid, smooth, and exactly what you’d want after pushing yourself physically. But the real star for me was the pistachio croissant. That thing was so good. Flaky, buttery, and packed with pistachio flavor, it felt like the ultimate treat after the workout. It’s the kind of pastry that makes you pause midbite just to appreciate it.

The space has a relaxed vibe, not overly polished but comfortable enough to hang out for a bit. It’s not trying too hard, which I liked. It’s just good coffee, good pastries, and good service. Hype is hands down one of my favorite coffee spots in Zurich! If you’ve ever been to Greece and miss the taste of a proper Freddo espresso or Freddo cappuccino, this is the place to go – they make them exactly as they should be, smooth, refreshing, and absolutely delicious.

Beyond the amazing coffee, they also offer top-quality coffee beans you can take home, as well as a beautiful selection of unique tea blends that you can buy by the gram – each one tastes as special as it sounds. My personal favorite treat here, though, is their fruit jams: made 100% from fruit with no added sugar, they taste pure, fresh, and honestly addictive.
