Restaurant Werkhof seit 2025 neue Inhaber — Restaurant in Zurich

A true „Beiz“ (google that) in the heart of Zurich former working class neighborhood. Don’t expect luxury but expect real people who might speak their mind. Once such restaurants/bars disappear in Zurich it’s definitely time to emigrate. Love that place. Oh, yes, they have good Thai food, and eggs for breakfast! Once you’re there you will either hate it or love it. If you hate it: thanks for leaving. If you love it: enjoy every inch of it, knowing such places get rarer by the years....

It does have the Ambiente of an 70er Boomer bar. But the service is very nice, friendly and obliging. You can go there for a after-work beer, pre-dinner drink or to forget the bad situations of life. The food needs to be tested by somebody else. They used to have great Thai Food but i haven't seen it...

Ziemlich charmantes Personal, das sich gerne Champagner und Whiskey offerieren lässt. Getippt wird dieser auch, getrunken wird häufig verdünntes Cola, Eistee oder billiger Weisswein. Das ist Betrug!!! Zuschauen beim Einschenken, sonst wird man(n) abgezockt und betrogen. Einige Damen des Personals trinken auch an 7 Tischen "gleichzeitig", was nicht gerade von Stil und Anstand zeugt. Einziger Lichtblick: Ein netter Chef, der...
