Thai Erawan - Bärengasse — Restaurant in Zurich

Easy down to earth no frills thai restaurant. Food isn't Michelin-star quality, but for the price, it's definitely much better than what one would expect.

Also, for those under tight lunch-time constraints: I challenge you to find a more efficient place than this one. These ladies are service ninjas, their skills behind the counter at rush hour are simply mesmerizing. Your lunch order will be taken, served and billed, in average, within approx. 5-10 seconds.

EDIT: pro-level life hack, if you go there 15-20 minutes before they close, and you keep an open mind about what you will eat, you'll probably be complimented with a portion big enough to feed a small family, since they try to end the day with as little food left...

Use to be the best take-away thai with the best pad kra pao, but something has changed in the last period. Either they changed the chef, but pad kra pao doesn't taste as pad kra pao and even doesn't look as it's supposed to. Also bigger portion should mean bigger portion for the main dish as well, not only for rice. They just add a tone of rice and same amount of meat as in the normal portion....

Quick and efficient. Masks, if anyone has forgotten their's, good food, takeaway quality and eat-in canteen. No frills, just eat. Excellent for a quick lunch. Pleasant surprise is that they offer hot sauces. For a quick eatery and decent food...
