To be honest, the one in the middle of the night market has better taste and flavor. This place is taken care of by the daughter in law and she is indeed working hard to make the business better without doubt.
But the one of the most important things at night market is the food itself. We ordered spicy fermented tofu and oyster noodles, both are really disappointments. The soup was so plain even I ordered extra spicy and the oyster red noodles are probably the worst one I have ever tried. It seems like it was not fresh and not even red, close to white. It seems to be there for a long time. I checked out their branch inside the night market, it was boiling hot and fresh. It looked much better than here.
The only good thing here is the AC, but not everyone is working well. The one above where I am sitting is dripping water constantly and they turned it off after I informed them, and it did not stop the leaking at all. My shoulder was wet.
You have to get your own chopsticks, spoons, seasonings and tissue. The place is really small and the table is also small, you have to juggle between food delivery and getting your stuff, not a really nice experience. I would choose the other branch inside the night market, at least when I get a seat, everything is right in front of me. Even though it is hot, it does not make too much difference.
I am not trying again. There are...
Read moreI visited Ningxia Market and had the fried tofu and stinky tofu with duck blood soup. I enjoyed the food so much that I came back for a second visit.
The stinky tofu and duck blood soup were delicious, bursting with flavor. The stinky tofu had a fantastic taste that I couldn't get enough of.
The fried stinky tofu was especially tasty when paired with the chili sauce, and the pickled cabbage complemented it with a sweet and sour touch.
What made the experience even better was the friendly staff. They noticed our appreciation for the soup and generously gave us more. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I highly recommend trying these dishes at...
Read moreMy 3 dinner place on that day. Food is surprisingly better than the other 2 popular shop towards the other end. There is a deep fried 3 style platter which is nice (forgot to take photo) and a must order. It goes so well with their chili sauce. I must say this place has the best chili sauce in Taipei so far. Their vermicelli and soup is good just that their fish cake a bit hard. The disappointing dish is the mala soup with tofu. Maybe the duck blood version will taste better? Overall though their rating is below 4, it is much better than the other 2 which has...
