beneath the iconic neon sign, double single has been on my to-go list for a long while now. finally, on a weekday afternoon, i was able to get a seat with my friend. (they don’t allow reservations.)
the menu was very nicely put together, making all the options seem equally appealing and the ordering process ever so indecisive. finally, we settled on the bolognese pasta and a smoothie (in hopes of getting their cute signature red cups). the pasta was amazing, perfectly al dente, and served with seasoned meat sauce that was just right. the smoothie was more for aesthetic value, though it did help one cool down on a hot summer day. finally, i came to learn the hard lesson that the signature red cups were NOT free to be taken with you upon leaving. still, double single earned...

Nothing but disappointment. Pizza is like those frozen pizzas you buy in the states, even Domino's is a bit better. Chicken is bland. If you want fried chicken in Taiwan, I suggest McDonald's. Taiwanese do not season the batter like Americans. Even Koreans learned to season their batter from Ameicans, Taiwan have yet to learn that. Pasta is nothing special.
