We tried this location for lunch. We were very excited to see there was a vegetarian restaurant near the train station. The location is open to the street, and there are a few seats. The service was very friendly, and the space was very clean.
We had the fried noodles, which were ok tasting. They were not bad, but they didn’t have much flavor overall. I’d normally rate a place four stars to give it support, but I know the owners read these reviews and this should be a learning experience after all.
When we were served the noodles we were given a spork (spoon/fork combined). This is something you give to a baby that can’t eat with chopsticks. My wife and I are white (non Asian) foreigners, and I felt not being treated as others is offensive. I felt we were profiled, and the server assumed we did not know how to use chopsticks. We use chopsticks at our home often. I’ve been using chopsticks for over 45 years, and yet I was given a baby utensil to eat my food with. When I asked for chopsticks (I don’t know the word in Chinese) the server looked confused, and then after a few moments realized what I wanted and brought the chopsticks.
