I love to eat here alone. I come here often usually Fridays and Saturdays. I do not recommend coming on those days as the queue will be atleast an hour. I moved to Taipei last month from a small country in East Africa so I don't know how to enter the queue but it's fine because I don't mind waiting. The staff at this place are so friendly and they did their best to attend to me even though I don't speak a word of chinese which is my own fault. I think the food is reasonably priced, it is about $1500 a person for a full dinner. I tend to order half portion 2 different meats usually beef and lamb slices, green leafy vegetable platter, mushroom platter and 1 egg. I would say this a good order for one person but if you are multiple people, you would want to order more. I wish to try new things on the menu but I'm quite shy because I don't know what bean curd or duck blood is. I've been to Haidilao all over the world, Hawaii, Thailand, South Africa, England, Vietnam, Malaysia and Japan - and I noticed there's much more options in the UK and Hawaii menu which is so surprising. I hoped Taiwan would have better more variable food options 🥺🥺 there is no dumplings here actually the staff kindly makes it for me, they do not have matcha tea, there's no lobster either. I do not like pork but if you enjoy pork they have so many options for you including pig brain. The beef is good enough to eat raw despite being frozen and I am happy for that. I like that they have free ice cream and also you can do your nails. That's so...

I went to Haidilao for dinner with some people from the states.

I think the service was very good. As far as food was concerned, I felt that this Haidilao was not as good as the Cupertino Haidilao that I went to before (for example, other Haidilao's had a wider selection of icecream [not just 2 flavors] as well as soft serve icecream which I don't think this Haidilao had). Their station where you make sauce for your hotpot did not have as large a selection as other Haidilao as well. Other than that, the quality of the meat and veggies was about the same.

As for the atmosphere, it was nice. The only complaint I had with their shows music (noodle show and facemask show), their music got REALLY loud; to the point where you would have to stop talking because we could not hear each other anymore. This would happen a lot since several people ordered the noodles with the noodle show (which was nice to watch once or twice but by the 3-4th time, I felt like it kept interrupting our dinner...
