OriginBAR 源 — Restaurant in Songshan District

How have i haven’t written a review on this fantastic institution! I’m from Vancouver and Origin is one of my top 3 bars in Taiwan among all the well-known drinking places. Staffs are professional, friendly of course and they are aware of diverse kinds of drink. They make amazing drinks and customize your order towards your taste. The cocktail I had were light, fresh, fruity and unique from other bars. This place is cozy with perfect ambience where you are able to feel relaxed and comfortable. Great for friends and dates. Every time I visit Taipei, I will go to this place with my Taiwanese friends. The owner is super nice and sweet. My friend and I even made friend with him. He treats his customers and staffs as family and best friends with respect and gratitude. I can’t wait until next time visiting again when i’m back!

every time is always a good time, even for introverts or solo drinkers. i like drinking alone, and this has always been my go-to place. best ambience, best staff (everyone makes sure you're having a good time, never overbearing but always makes sure you're comfortable enough either alone or with your friends). i regret not being able to speak mandarin because everyone seems interesting to talk with but they try their best to speak english which i appreciate sooo much but also am a little shy about. i'll practice mandarin and do better ((this doesn't mean they talk too much, i'm just grateful for the short conversations they try to do and wish i could speak their language)). overall: this is the place to go. this branch. this specific place. always worth the time and money. i recommend their fries too...

What a magnificent find! Very walkable from the MO and quite a gem, down a small alley off the main road. They specialize in tea cocktails, I had the Pou Chong Tea Cocktail for something less sweet. Perfect blend. I’ve had a decent amount of good cocktails in SF and this bar’s mix craft is definitely up there. Service is above and beyond. I think service levels in asia are generally quite high but the bartenders and servers here are incredibly friendly and helpful.
