The high reviews are not warranted. For a Sunday dinner for 2 this past weekend, it came to 2800nt.
For seafood: There was one kind of small steamed crab that tasted bitter and earthy, steamed oysters that were not refilled quickly and some shrimp. That was it for steamed seafood. There was grilled squid that was not gutted and still had the pen inside. There was also 4 types of sashimi, but the chef would glare everytime you asked for some.
Meat: The meat quality was inconsistent. The roast pork had no flavour, not even salt but the beef was good. The Peking duck was good but you only get 2 small slices each time.
Other dishes included a noodle soup station, chow mein, dumplings and western food such as pizza and potato salad. There was a fruit station but the papaya and dragon fruit was not refilled.
The table staff are very courteous but the front desk and many of the food station staff were very rude.
Overall, not worth it. I should have just ordered some nice seafood at a...
Read moreDined at Sunny Buffet on rainy Wednesday evening and I must say, the ambiance was truly delightful. The atmosphere created a perfect backdrop for an enjoyable dining experience. The interior decor and lighting were well thought out, providing a cozy and inviting setting.
What truly stood out, was the impeccable customer service of Stephen Hou, From the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcomed and attended to. The staff were attentive, and polite, which enhanced our overall dining experience.
While we savored the ambiance and appreciated the excellent service, we also thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine. The food was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Each dish was a delightful combination of flavors that left my taste buds wanting more.
Overall, our visit was a memorable one, thanks to the fantastic ambiance and outstanding customer service. It's a place I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a top-notch...
Read moreLocated at the ground floor of the hotel (not the mall to the south), the open-space atmosphere was great. The selection of food was plentiful and delicious. They also provided one nigiri platter per table that include scallop and abalone. Most of the food was great. My favorites were the shaoxing-flavored shrimp and the mini chocolate cup with cream and hazelnut. They also had the clever idea of rolling out dim-sum carts for crispy items like soup topped with soufflé and freshly filled cream puffs. The base lunch price we paid was NT1188 per adult. It was much better than the more expensive buffet we went to this week. This led me to give a higher rating.
Only downsides were the oysters not carefully inspected so I got a bad one. Pizza had very uninspired choice of toppings that nobody took. What a waste of that cute...
