I’d been meaning to try this vegan place for the longest time since I visit the Taichung flagship grocery store location next door quite frequently. So glad I finally did! I was curious what the lion’s mane mushroom braised ”gnocchi” (as Pleco translated it) was. While waiting for my order, I picked up some utensils and enjoyed the complimentary mushroom and carrot soup and lightly sweetened tea. (The soup tasted almost like chicken broth: how did they do that?!) I was stunned when it came out: a humongous bowl of soup with a nice variety of veggies, and the “gnocchi” was more like flat (Western) dumplings that came in three (presumably natural) colors. It was very filling, but I wish there were more lion’s mane mushrooms in it since it was in the dish’s name, after all.
