來臺中的行程總是避不了燒肉,無奈有了上回茶六的悲慘經驗,腦中碩果僅存的名單只剩下更難訂位的那間。果不其然,前一個禮拜訂是訂不到位的。在無法訂到心中首選的窘境下,只好回訂茶六隔壁的KoDō,心想4.8顆星的它絕對不好訂位,結果很出乎意料,非常好訂位,就在這因緣際會下,9/11初訪了KoDō。
當天點了A套餐(三人份),前菜是討人厭的泡菜,所以沒吃就不多評論。沙拉點了典藏黑凱薩沙拉,雖然黑黑的名字很嚇人,但實際吃起來相當清爽順口,蠻推薦大家嚐試。在沙拉上桌的同時,肉盤也會陸續上桌,此時建議大家別急著直接烤起來,要先請店員示範怎麼烤,他們的烤盤有如迷你水溝蓋,用以往鐵網的烤法容易將肉片黏盤。
A套餐的牛肉有A5日本冷藏霜降和牛、A5日本冷藏雪花和牛、A5每日和牛特選跟CAB冷藏美國無骨牛小排,比較可惜的是店員上肉盤後沒有說明每種肉對應是哪個品項,相鄰他桌的客人就有被說明肉盤,店員還幫他們殘廢烤,人人出一張嘴就好,可惡的讓人羨慕。回到重點,因為不知每塊肉的對應,總之大家烤了就吃,不得不說,他們牛肉品味兼優,只需半熟撒點鹽就好,不用再沾什麼醬料調味。由於牛肉太優了,相形之下,豬肉跟雞肉就遜色許多,豬肉是邊緣豬,吃過就忘沒甚麼印象,雞肉是機車雞,很難搞,不是烤不熟就是過熟,A套餐的肉盤之雷非雞肉莫屬。
除了以上品項,KoDō還會上熟食跟主食,他們的熟食只有洋蔥和牛板筋,我個人吃不慣,對於口味也沒太大印象,也屬邊緣菜系一員。當天主食點的是和牛咖哩陶鍋燒,點過就知道...這道菜的樣式非常浮誇,但味道極好,咖哩跟牛肉的混合得恰好,容易讓人胃口大開。
當天吃下來,人均價約1600初頭,雖然價格比同類競爭者高3~4百,不過這多出的幾百,你能吃到更好的肉,不用搶訂位也不用排隊,我覺得KoDō算是超值,出來玩求得不就是放鬆,何必為吃一頓燒肉要一月前先打十分鐘的預約電話,到了現場還要再排...
