Minimou Brunch (Literature Museum) — Restaurant in Tainan

Taste and Service unfortunately lacking. I’d rather go to other restaurants in Tainan compared to price and service at Minimou Brunch. We went here because of the good reviews and wanted to try it. It wasn’t full and we had no reservation so the waiter told us we only had 1 1/2 hours. Beware, no payment via Card, only Cash. The meat of both the dishes we had was extremely dry (you can see how dry in the picture below) and overall taste very underwhelming compared to the price. The drinks were good though but also on the expensive side (180NTD each drink)

Also regarding the service: The waiter unfortunately didn’t make us feel very welcome. We were three and wanted to order 2 plates and 2 extra drinks first to share, also we thought two drinks were included in the brunch plates we ordered but apparently only for an extra fee of 30NTD. When we wanted to order like this the waiter told us that we are 3 but are just ordering this much and if we see an issue there, which we thought wasn‘t really a friendly way to tell us that we had to order...

Firstly. Thank you for giving me a seat with no reservation. That was kind. I was out within 30 minutes.

Unfortunately the eggs Benedict was disappointing. One egg was under cooked, the white was not cooked. The other ok. The Hollandaise sauce had no taste of lemon juice and is pale orange/pink in colour. It is supposed to be pale yellow. It didn't taste like Hollandaise. The bread was not toasted well enough and became very soggy. The food presentation is very good and colourful. Just because it looks pretty doesn't make it taste good. The restaurant was a bit stuffy. Not very cool. The noise level gets louder and louder.

There is outside seating. The staff were kind, as I mentioned.

The staff was very unfriendly and asked us if we were sure about only sharing drinks and food, implying that we weren't ordering "enough" even though we ordered different dishes The food didn't really taste good, could be compared to McDonalds burgers - The price quality ratio is not really good and for this quality way too expensive The place itself is rather overcrowded, so if you want to go there it's probably best to reserve a table in advance. We were given a table but only for a short timeframe Lastly I didn't feel welcomed as a foreigner at all. I was asking for a receipt, but the staff replied if I was even able to read it since it's in chinese

I don't recommend this place at all, there are way better...
