食令shabu — Restaurant in Xinyi District

Lunch on June 10 had several issues, and I feel that the quality has declined compared to previous years.

The beef in the appetizer contained a piece of plastic wrap. The oysters in the lobster surf and turf set had a very strong fishy taste. The staff seemed inexperienced. They placed cooked food on the edge of the pot, making it difficult to pick up. Additionally, during the cooking process, they occasionally splashed some broth onto my clothes, seemingly without noticing.

Apart from these shortcomings, other ingredients such as the short ribs and vegetables were still quite good overall. However, the performance was not as excellent as in previous years.

Located on the 4th floor of Taipei 101, the interior decor has a great atmosphere.

I chose the Father's Day Surf and Turf set for two. The seafood was very fresh, and the meat was tender. However, the broth tasted like plain water, possibly to highlight the freshness of the ingredients. I believe that the broth is the most important part of hot pot, and using plain water was a bit unacceptable for me.

The service was average. The staff helped cook the seafood and vegetable platter, but we had to cook the meat ourselves.
