Taihu Brewing Landmark - XinYi — Restaurant in Xinyi District

Excellent setting (for those who don't mind standing) at a prime location. With close to 20 taps of both imported and home brew craft beer you can almost always find something you like. As always, their taps are on the pricey side, but with that you get the atmosphere and decent choices of craft beers. They seem to be shifting to put more emphasis on their own brews (Taihu). I am never a big fan of their brews so far but I really appreciate they've been experimenting a lot, and their brews are getting better in my humble opinion. Always tempted to get a pint (well, or a glass, probably half the size of a pint)...

If you don't mind:

The cigarette smoke from patrons and non-patrons who blithely light up without consideration for those drinking (and despite the public smoking ban);

The fact that though situated in a pedestrian-only thoroughfare, scooters and delivery trucks frequently use the area in front of Landmark as a detour, for deliveries, and to park, all under the eye of toothless and clueless security personnel;

Music loud enough that it is difficult to have a conversation and be heard without raising your voice;

A decent selection of draft beers. Lager, IPA, sour beer, you name it. What’s unique about this place is that it’s completely outdoor in an open area right next to the shopping mall. They offer a few large tables with no chairs but you can pretty much sit anywhere you’d like in the area. The staff will walk around to collect empty glasses. The music is pretty loud.
