Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Xinyi District

Texas Roadhouse has always been my go-to restaurant for friends and family gatherings over the past decade. I’ve loved the lively vibe, great food, and friendly service, and I’ve built countless good memories here. However, my recent visit was shockingly disappointing.

Steak Mishap and Poor Management Response: We ordered a medium steak, and after a long wait, it was served well-done. Surprisingly, the waitress didn’t check if we were satisfied, something they always did in the past. When I called her back, she appeared powerless to address the issue, so she called the manager. The manager’s attitude was rude and dismissive—she insisted that this was how medium steak looks at Texas Roadhouse, as if we didn’t know what we were talking about. After her “lesson,” she reluctantly agreed to redo the steak. She returned quickly with a new steak and said she was now serving it medium rare because she felt it would suit us better—without consulting us first. The new steak was raw inside. The manager didn’t stay to check it with us and left abruptly. The whole situation was ridiculous and humiliating.

Checkout Disaster: After finishing our meal, the waitress brought the bill and offered to check us out at the table. We placed our credit card and waited for over 10 minutes, but no one came to collect it. Frustrated, we headed to the counter to pay ourselves. Only then did the waitress inform us that their card machines were broken, and they could only accept cash. We were stunned—no one carries that amount of cash in a steakhouse where you easily spend thousands of dollars. We were forced to withdraw cash from the nearest ATM, incurring additional fees, and the restaurant offered no apology or compensation for the inconvenience.

I’ll be sharing this experience with all my friends and family, urging them to avoid Texas Roadhouse to save their time and money. This experience was a complete waste and left me feeling disrespected and disappointed. It’s sad to see how far this place has fallen from the standards I...

They have Lunch Value Menu at lunchtimes on weekdays, where there are at lower prices than usual. At the beginning, you’ll be served with bread with cinnamon cream and a bag of peanuts.

I ordered a $650 lunch set with an entree, made-from-scratch side and a drink. Your drink can also be upgraded to any other drink with a $50 discount. The bread is very soft, delicious and goes pretty well with the cinnamon cream. Sirloin (8 oz) (Entree): I make my steak medium rare and it turns out thicker but succulent and not overcooked, which is perfect for me.

Cup of Chilli (Made-from-scratch side): It’s also served with two crackers on the outside of the cup on the plate. I didn’t expect that it’s topped with cheddar cheese and a few red onions because I don’t like eating them but the chilli sauce is surely excellent and the steak dipping the steak into it makes the steak savoury and more delicious.

Cherry Limeade (upgraded drink $100, originally $150): It’s a non-alcoholic drink or a mocktail. The drink is quite fizzy and a little syrupy on the bottom. I do enjoy the great sweetness and slight tangy flavour of the beverage.

In conclusion, this is my first trying Texas Roadhouse and all the foods and drinks are authentic, including the steak, bread and mocktail. The delivery speed is quite efficient and their service attitude is also nice. The steakhouse is located on the 3rd floor of Breeze SongGao and you need to pass through TGI Fridays and the Thai restaurant after getting off the escalator. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!

Could possibly be the best service I’ve ever had in Taiwan!

I’ve been to another Texas roadhouse branch before and was super disappointed, I actually thought it was mediocre food and environment wise was just soso.

After three years I decided to give this branch a chance, and I’m glad I did!! Omg, the service here is amazing, they are so attentive and kind, I’m really moved by their dedication. First, they climb into the seats (literally getting in there) and they really clean it deeply with a cloth. I don’t think I’ve seen any other restaurant care so much about cleanliness. When we didn’t get our bread fast enough, (which we already ate many rounds so that’s our bad for emptying their stocks lol) they even let us bring some home🥹 The whole time I thought that my money spent was totally worth it, and I finally get the hype of Texas roadhouse. Usually I go to Fridays all the time but I’m definitely coming back to this Texas roadhouse again! Btw, the portions are huge!!
