This restaurant is highly recommended by a local when I asked what’s the best place for my first birthday celebration outside of the Philippines. It was likewise my 48th birthday.
The place didn’t disappoint in serving unlimited shabu-shabu for 90 minutes. We were served 4-5 trays of beef cut into sukiyaki strips per round. We chose 3 kinds of mushrooms, 2 kinds of tofu, cabbage, carrots, corn, petchay, and 2 other local vegetables whose names escaped me. The waiters were very attentive. They easily served a fresh set of beef trays every time we get to the last without us calling them.
For desserts, we were served sweetened green mung beans which only our teenage hosts had space in their tummies for. The adults easily felt full after all those trays of meat (approximate between 20-28....we lost count after the 3rd round!) that we could no longer bring ourselves to eat any further except space in our tummies for a cup of hot roasted rice! Oh by the way, our table had 2 birthday celebrants. We were also welcoming Kate into adulthood as she celebrated her 20th birthday!

Read moreThis shabu shabu restaurant is located in the heart of the busy street in Taipei. The food is pretty decent and and get very packed during weekdays.
One thing I have to speak up from my personal experience eating at a restaurant is the server's attitude towards customer is very pushy, disrespectful and rude. I do understand that they have 90 minutes limits however server should let customer know ahead of time or at least kindly let customer know. There are at times where they will ask you to hurry up which creates a lot of tension and anxiety for customers.
Also the other thing is that this place is not accessible for anyone with wheelchairs. I did not see any elevators. If you are someone who have trouble climbing up the stairs, I highly you skip this restaurant and find another restaurant that have good...
Read moreGreat all-you-can-eat restaurant with incredibly good service. There are different options (and prices) of soups to choose from. The cheapest option being 409 NTD (be aware that the prices differ for the afternoon and evening, this price is for the afternoon). There is also a service fee of 10% on top of the total amount, so don't be surprised when you get the bill.
The food is great with lots of different vegetables. You have three types of meat: chicken, pork and beef. They go around with vegetables asking which ones you want. For the meat they simply ask which ones you want.
There are free drinks available (soft drinks, cold drinks, hot drinks). They also have two different flavored sorbets available.
The service is really good and greatly enhances the...
