I’ve been here several times, but I feel like the quality isn’t very consistent. The prices aren’t cheap either. They do offer a good variety of bread, though. I like their mini bagels — they’re just the right size for a quick bite, and they usually come with a flavored cream cheese, which is perfect for busy days. Very convenient.
The shio pan (salted bread) has been getting more expensive, while the taste seems to go downhill. The bread is soft with a slightly chewy, dense texture that can feel a bit tough on the teeth. The crust should be slightly crispy, but it ends up being more rubbery, even when freshly baked. Also, it doesn’t have that buttery aroma as before.
The canelé is a bit too sweet for my taste, and the crust is harder than it should be. As for their croissants, cheese bread, and other baked goods, they have a similar texture: chewy and a bit tough, so you really have to bite into them.
