A nice small cafe near the three historical sites: Beimen (the north gate), Taipei postal office, and the Taipei Futai Street Mansion. The coffee here is okay - the milk is too hot that takes away the flavour of the foam (I ordered latte) and the milk itself. Quiches come with salad, the pastry is quite nice but the filling is a bit bland to my taste. We also ordered another bowl of salmon salad and it's great, I like how they use different dressings in different salads. Sometimes other customers are a bit loud, but most of the time the place is quiet. We didn't try their tea, but since they use fortnum & mason tea I think it won't go wrong. We did wait a bit for our order, but seeing our food was freshly made in their hands, the time we wait wasn't really a problem (but I think this is what they can improve in the future if need to deal with a full house). If you find yourself at Camera Street I can only highly recommend this space. The guy who runs it is super welcoming and offers a wide variety on coffee beans to try out either regularly hot with milk, cyphoned and on ice. There are most likely more options but I kept on going with the cyphon and the iced variation. Absolut chefs kiss!
Fantastic space to get your work done or plan your travels further.
There is always ultra smooth jazz playing in the background and during lunch you can watch a massive line across the street for one of Taipeis most well known pork knuckle dishes.
All in all 10 out of 10 - got to...
Read moreVery cute little cafe with a limited but high quality food menu. If you are looking for a light and fresh salad (which has been hard to find), this won’t disappoint. I wouldn’t say it’s hardy, but this is a Japanese inspired cafe after all. High quality and delicate ingredients. Very fresh salad, thank you! Dressing was also good along with the chicken curry that comes with an equally fresh side salad and the bread rolls are the Japanese milk style so slightly sweet, warm and delicious. They don’t have oat milk but my soy milk latte was delicious. Again high quality soy and coffee so you can really taste...
