What can you possibly say about this place except "unreal"? For what it cost, the atmosphere was 1st class, clean and dishes refilled with military precision. I reckon they must be subsidized by the government somehow, as there is no way the can make a profit charging so little. The quality and quantity of food was very impressives indeed. Comments about the dishes lacking in flavor is irrelevant. If you have a taste for salty or spicy food then this place shouldn't be on your list to start with. Go have fry chicken cutlet and other junk food from the night market instead. Yes, i know there are healthier options at the night market too but this place will be more suitable for the elderly or perhaps those who are looking for something lighter, but not vegetian. The only down side i suppose you have to get up early to beat the closing...

社團法人中華民國軍人之友社台北國軍英雄館辦理接待住宿法源 壹、業務辦理單位： 一、社團法人中華民國軍人之友社成立於民國40年10月31日，並奉內政部63年6月1日核發台內社字第591720號立案 證書，屬非營利公益性社團法人；目的事業主管機關為國防部。 二、社團法人中華民國軍人之友社所屬「台北、台中、高雄、花蓮、嘉義、台南、台東、宜蘭及澎湖國軍英雄館與金門 招待所」為接待特定對象場所。 貳、業務執行法源： 一、發展觀光條例第24條第三項「非以營利為目的且供特定對象住宿之場所，由各該目的事業主管機關就其安全、經營 等事項訂定辦法管理之。」 二、國防部頒「國軍服務作業單位及國軍英雄館管理辦法」第6條「國軍服務作業單位與國軍英雄館之住宿場所，以服 務為宗旨，非以營利為目的，提供現役軍官、士官、士兵及與國防有關之人員住宿休憩使用。但以現役軍官、士官、士兵為優先」。

Had a great dining experience at the Chinese restaurant “Friends of Armed Forces Taipei.” The service was friendly and quick, making us feel right at home. The food was delicious and plentiful, leaving us more than satisfied. We were pleasantly surprised by the no waiting line and no reservation needed.
