I came to this place since I got it recommended by a friend of mine. Normally I go to another barbecue place in Ximen, but I thought why not checkout a new one I have not been to.
About the concept of this store, it is an all you can eat restaurant and depending on what kind of food you are looking for you pay per person anything ranging fromm 500 NTD to 750 NTD.
Their food is not bad and I liked the food overall but one thing was perceived by me as extremely negative, which I will talk about now.
My parents and me came to this store and my girlfriend joined later on. Besides my girlfriend no one of us can read Chinese very well nor speak it very well. We had a reservation around 7 o clock and arrived on time. The service personal showed us our table and rushed through explaining how ordering works. The explanations were not enough and we were not sure how to order things so we started very slowly ordering the food since we did not know how exactly everything works. In total the time limit is set for 2 hours to dine in for the all you can eat option. As I said the food was not bad and it was quickly delivered to our table the attitude of the waiter that seemed to be that was in charge was however extremely rude. When the end of our time limit was reached they told us we had to leave, which I understand since we staid there for 2 hours, but the table was still full of food. The waiter then proceeded to basically "throw us out" of the restaurant. I have never experienced that someone acted this pushy to customers after the time limit was over. It was not even that busy and there were a lot of empty tables in the whole restaurant. I think a little bit leniency on the time limit would have been adequate, we really did not know how it worked and could not read the menu. This was the first time I experienced such extremely pushy behaviour in a restaurant here in Taiwan.
I would not come this place again and would recommend to go to other barbecue places in Ximen.
The last funny thing that happened was, that when we left we took 2 of the ice creams but were stopped by the service personal that asked us to open the ice cream before leaving the restaurant, for whichever reason, absolutely ridiculous.
I understand that we have to stick to the time limit but I don't think this is the way that a restaurant which is definitely on the pricier end in Taiwan should treat guests that cannot speak...
Read moreHad a great time here for a birthday reserved in advance for 11 people, and due to the layout we were separated into two tables and shared between us three grills. From what I understood of the menu, it seems it's organized into three different tiers, and which tier you order from dictates your final price - we ordered a lot from the first and middle tier (middle being 680nt) so 680nt is what each person paid except for one birthday guest who showed ID and got gifted a free dinner : )
The meat and seafood was pretty fresh, and the vegetables and kimchi really yummy, and especially the free flow selection of Hagan daaz and coldstone creamery ice cream which everyone had multiple servings of not recommend are some of their desserts like the ice cream sandwich (just random flavor of ice cream between two pieces of plain grilled bread... super bland) and cream puffs (also fairly bland and not memorable). The grilled mochi and marshmallows were the most fun desserts for us. Also really enjoyed their free flow drinks of guava juice and sugar free green tea super refreshing. 120min/2 hr time limit, they'll warn you when your time is getting close, and the service is very fast and efficient. Plus it's so convenient being a stone's throw from Ximen exit 6, it's really a doozy of a choice for very satisfying all you can eat BBQ...
Read moreI recommend this all you can eat grilled bbq buffet in Ximending. It can be a little tricky to locate (on the fifth floor via elevator). Seated quickly on a Wednesday night dinner for two.
The $988 (top tier) was worth it for the high quality M9 wagyu beef. I was impressed with the quality and taste of the meats, even though they were frozen. Everything I had was good or great. The side dishes were solid as well — kimchi here was one of the best I’ve had in Taiwan. The radish wrap was crunchy and delicious, too.
Service was great, and our table was constantly cleaned and plates cleared. Our meal came with all you can drink Kirin bottled beer. There’s also unsweetened green tea and black milk tea on tap as well. The ice cream selection was good, I enjoyed the matcha and dark chocolate.
Overall, excellent CP. I will be...
