My husband found this place on his recent trip to Taiwan and took us back when the two of us traveled to Taipei December 2023. We came back twice during our 1+ weeks in Taipei when there are hundreds of amazing food options; that’s how great the experience was. The second time we dined was prime dinner time on NYE, a busy time that usually challenges other restaurants…our service tonight defied expectation. We were seated promptly, even a few mins earlier before our reservation time, and the staff came SO frequently for food refill. Meat quality was also great (we preferred beef to lamb or pork). I also loved all the veggie options (so many types of mushroom!) Bonus that they take online / phone call reservation which is huge if you want to avoid waiting in line. The only downside: like authentic sukiyaki places, the soup base has a slightly sweet taste (not overwhelmingly so, think of sweet soy sauce flavor) - if you are die hard Sichuan hot pot fan and hates anything that tastes remotely sweet then this might not be your cup of tea, but otherwise HIGHLY recommend especially considering it’s only 600 ish per person for all you can eat. Although they don’t really have many meat selections, but each of them is really great and good quality, such as US prime beef slices! Udon is a must try here, which is really tasty with a pinch of grounded scallions! As they provide unlimited meat as well as a wide variety of vegetables from their veggie cart, diners can ask for what they crave for as many times as they like. After the meal, they give diners some lemon slices with sugar on top and ice cream as desserts. Please consider to book a table before visiting this restaurant as it is...
Read moreThe meat is really thin, and you can seldom feel the existence of the food. What's more, the vegetable cart comes once an hour, so you'd better seize the chance. The staffs are too arragant to help you, and they will stop you ordering the food by a plentiful ridiculour reasons - such as you look full. Before the time's up, the staff's asked whether we could finish the food,.if not, they'd take the food back - back to where? And why they take back? It's all a mystery. It costs you more than NTD$500...by this price, there are far more better alternative sikiyaki restaurant in Taipei. At least, you want to...
