I am a foodie who loves to explore new places and try out new food as being out of my comfort zone in a different city I was craving for home food and authentic taste of masala, better quality of food and trust me I was sorted read good reviews about the restaurant so wanted to try out while in Zanzibar I love biryani I was craving for biryani and I was sorted the biryani was tasty and portion was outstanding and way to good from what I expected the meat was tender good quality Indian taste and a touch of Zanzibar wonderful combination and most as being a foodie and going to a new place that attracts me is the hospitality and service that is being provided was when the owner of the restaurant comes to ask for a feedback and to interact with the customer completely overwhelmed and welcoming met the expectations and honesty and taking feedback in a serious note, the environment was clean and nice the staff knew what and how to serve friendly and at the centre of the city completely felt like home I not only tried the biryani I also tried the Swahili plate the chicken curry, the coconut rice, the fish gravy kisamvu was great to was really awesome and the portion was too good I was satisfied for what I paid for and as being a food blogger I look for better quality of food price and homie feeling I was overwhelmed must worth a try and prices are worth it keep it up and thank you so much for the hospitality...

If you’re a foodie who loves bold flavors and can’t pick just one favorite dish, this combo is your dream come true. I recently indulged in a trio that took my taste buds on a wild, delicious ride on cheesy pizza, aromatic biryani, and a fluffy masala omelette and and and let me tell you, each one brought something special to the table.

Let’s start with the pizza. Gooey cheese, a perfectly crisp base, and just the right amount of spicy toppings the way i like it, it was the kind of slice that stretches when you pull it apart, loaded with flavor and attitude. Comfort food at its best muat say.

Then came the biryani mmhhhhh fragrant, colorful, and packed with juicy pieces of meat and spice infused rice. Every bite had depth, like it had been simmering in tradition for hours. It wasn’t just food must say it was an experience.

Finally, the omelette. Soft, slightly crispy at the edges, and bursting with green chilies, onions, and herbs oh my god it was the surprise hero. Light but flavorful, it balanced out the richness of the other dishes like a pro.

Together, this trio is not just a meal — it's a celebration of flavors, cultures, and comfort. Perfect for when you're hungry, indecisive, or just in the mood to treat yourself.

Would I eat it again? Without hesitation. Would I recommend it? Only to people who...

If there was an option for zero star I would have given that.

We ordered chicken tandoori, it was like rubber. Completely overcooked and god knows how many days old.

The Swahili set meal had Ugali which was hard as stone. Didn’t know you can get Ugali so wrong! (FYI I have had Ugali for the last 3 weeks at multiple restaurants, nothing comes close to the horrible level of this one)

Service was also poor, we ordered the butter chicken and naan, but were never cautioned that it already came with Rice.. the owner of the restaurant also was curt when we requested to cancel the naan.

All in all, a waste of a meal. We feel so bad wasting our one meal in beautiful stone town.

Update by evening - My daughter has an upset tummy and has vomitted, due to the bad quality and stale food the restaurant continues to deny any wrongdoing.

All the best to any new...
