After walking by Turk House a few times, always on my way to someplace, I finally got a moment to stop by and check it out. Such a delightfully yummy place!

First, I thought it was only a coffee café with delicious pastries. I ordered the Date Pudding which is clearly not a custard, haha! That's the British use of the word as a dessert in general. This cake was rather tasty; not dry or too firm, which seems to be the preferred texture in Tanzania.

I ordered the Passion Fruit Cheesecake to go and enjoyed that later; it definitely moved to the top of my treats list!

After chatting with the folks there, I found out that it is also a full service restaurant with savory foods served on the upper floor. You wouldn't know this from a casual look from the street. I definitely intend to return and sample those dishes!

We stopped in today as my sister was not feeling well and needed to rest for a moment. The staff were so friendly, kind and generous.
