We tried the Rajma Dal, basmati rice and a side of chapati tawa. The food was good, except for the fact there was zero salt. I said to the young waiter that it would be excellent if the chef just added salt. He explained that the chef (his sister) doesn’t add salt as it is the preference of their European customers. It seemed like a lame excuse to me, so I suggested he tell his sister that a little salt would help elevate the flavor of the spices.
I said we’ll come back tomorrow to try the masala chai, veggie samosas and aloo paratha for breakfast, to which the waiter replied, “Ok sir. And I will be sure have my sister add salt.”
The next day, we arrive in the afternoon and the waiter says they are out of the veggie samosas, so we leave.
We go back two days later and the waiter tells us they still have no vegetarian samosas, so now I’m stuck writing this review.
I’m just happy I found an Indian restaurant nearby that isn’t afraid to season properly (and also has excellent vegetarian samosas).
