I stayed at the Roof View Place hotel in June 2019. The place is nice, but the service shocking. Three great examples. I was showering in my room alone in the morning when there was a knock at my door, and I subsequently announced I was present. However, the person (who I later discovered was cleaner) started shouting "let me in", at which I replied I was undressed and requested a moment to change. || However, the cleaner kept banging on my door and then started unlocking it, and I then shoulder barged my door open while I was naked. The cleaner then said that she had the wrong room to my surprise. I made a complaint to the receptionist (daughter of the owner) who was very unapologetic and said that she had asked the cleaner to open my door as there were loud voices coming from my room which is odd as I was alone and I did not hear anyone shouting. The receptionist refused to apologise and inferred I was somehow lying about the loud voices coming from my room. The lady then demanded that I now pay prior to my departure and I asked for the invoice to be prepared. The next day I asked for the invoice, and she promptly gave to me and demanded I pay then and there, and I said I needed to go to my room for a moment (to take my visa card) and then she started shouting at me at the top of her voice and demanding I stay present and told me not to walk away. I told her again, I am going to take my card and then returned a moment later and paid. These incidents, and every other interaction I had with the receptionist were horrible. I suspect she doesnt like her job as she has no idea about service culture or how to treat a paying customer. I hope she learns from...

First of all, the location is close to Khao San Road and the canal, so it takes about 5 minutes on foot. I called Grab many times to get around Bangkok, but I never had a problem getting a ride. There are many restaurants and cafes with various foods and styles nearby, so it was very convenient to get around. The room was very clean, and the room was thoroughly cleaned once a day, and towels and bottled water were replaced. The bed was close to king size, and the cushion was average, neither too soft nor too hard, so it was comfortable to sleep in. The air conditioning was very strong. I always changed into long-sleeved shirts, long pants, and gym clothes before going to bed. Be careful not to catch a cold. The water heater in the shower always worked well, so I enjoyed the shower with a comfortable mind. The hotel owner was also very kind. The breakfast menu changed daily, and of course, a breakfast with bread, ham, and sunny-side up eggs was also available. Overall, I recommend this hotel because it is affordable and you can stay with a...

Booked this place for my first 2 nights upon arriving in Bangkok as I arrived at 1am and didn't fancy going to a hostel at that time. They were super accommodating and said it was no problem to check in after 12am, somone waited up for me. The rooms are clean and beds are comfy and they have a private shower, toilet, balcony, fridge and safe. The aircon is fantastic and super quiet (I thought it was broken at first cause it was so quiet!) there is also a fan. Everyday they give you 2 free bottles of water and a clean towel to your room. Free breakfast and coffee in the morning and the staff and very kind and friendly. The location is perfect for me, its down a cute quiet street where you can only hear the birds at night, but also only a few mins walk from a tone of other hostels, and a 15min walk from khaosan road. The streets and the allys feel very safe to walk around at night and there are even a few street food vendors (and a dispensery if you're into that kind of thing) near the hotel.

Fairly clean room. Had some red bugs on the bed though. Room for a single person was a good size and air conditioning. Has some nice views of surrounding buildings and foliage, with skyscrapers in the distance. Staff were friendly. The location is pretty good for sight seeing of you don't mind walking for about half an hour, but local services like restaurants, ATMs and convenience stores (minus a 7 11) are about 10 minutes away. Breakfast consisted of some melon, toast, egg, tea/coffee/water and some tuna rice. Free WiFi.
