Panda Thai Food & Vegetarian — Restaurant in Ban Phan Thom Subdistrict

This restaurant has no clue about what veganism means. Our son has been sick and has been throwing up for the last 8 hours - all night. Thanks for ruining our last night in Thailand.

We talked to our waitress outside at the standing menu before we even came inside and sat down. She assured us that they could do any dish vegan. We explained what being vegan means to her very carefully. Her response was, "Don't worry, we know vegan." When we ordered our food again, I reminded her that everything had to be vegan.

The first thing they brought out was our salad that was covered with cheese and a mayo-based Caesar salad dressing - from a store bought bottle nonetheless - yes, we checked. My wife assumed that it was vegan cheese and dressing, but I sensed that the waitress didn't seem 100% genuine. They acted like they had no idea but did not seem interested in learning why vegans don't eat cheese and eggs. I 100% think they will make the same mistakes with their next vegan customers.

I feel unwell, and our son has thrown up now 8 times since we've been there. The curries we ordered were clearly not vegan, and maybe the tofu was stale. The rice we got was not fresh and hard.

I'm not sure where the good reviews come from. Our massaman curry was the smallest sized dish we have received in Thailand. We ordered vegetables instead of meat but got almost no vegetables in our curries.

They have a qr code on the table, and if you leave a good review and show them, they will give you a free dessert. This seems like a sneaky way to get good reviews.

We were there last night, my wife has spaghetti bolognese and I had a pork with rice.

Since we are coming from Europe The spaghetti bolognese was so bad so mushy and not seasoned it has a dry taste like it was made 2 weeks ago. The plate was so boring it has more bolognese “sauce” ( if you can call the uncooked meat sauce) than pasta.

In the other side , the pork was good but not in my taste that means (so fat and so oily) The rice was tasty but since I found a hair inside it disgusted me.

The service were so good 😊 they were asking me what’s wrong with that I just told them wasn’t in my taste ( I didn’t wanted to make a scene) since we just came from our flight and we are staying nearby (50m away).

I don’t suggest the bar at all. Might be a good location for drinking and passing hours, is a vibe.

We spend around 700THB which was expensive compared to what we got and the quality.
