We stayed 2 nights in Samsen street hotel . It’s got a young sociable vibe. The staff are friendly and warm. We were able to check in a little earlier when the room was ready. The pool was clean, although a bit busy. There is an outdoor bar serving drinks which was nice, and children-friendly films every night projected outdoors over the pool from around 6 pm. The Wi-Fi was decent and the AC worked. We chose the city facing room because we heard that the pool facing rooms could be noisy with the films, and we pleased that our room was quiet as we had a very early 4 am start to catch our transit the next morning. The room has plenty of hanging space which was nice. It’s a quirky modern design based around street food carts. We enjoyed hanging out in the bay window seating area designed to feel like an overnight bus or train carriage. The location was near a lot of restaurants and bars, as well as 7-11 and ATM. Only 10-15 montures walk to Kaosan road.
There were just a couple things that could be smoothed out on the housekeeping side. We requested our room cleaned in the morning and popped out for several hours to find the room hadn’t been cleaned which was a little inconvenient. The staff quickly tried to sort it within the hour we returned. The swimming pool towels were not readily replenished . They were available on the Sunday we arrived but on Monday there weren’t any until late...
Read moreI love this cute little boutique-style hotel! They were so welcoming, and the room was well done. (The bed is VERY hard, and the pillows are too "tall" for me, but otherwise it was great!) The location isn't great if you want to do anything other than grab a good meal at a small local restaurant. The neighborhood had a plethora of local eateries and a 7-11, but that's about it. It was a little difficult to get a Bolt/Grab car and everything is a bit of a drive away. However the "dive in movie" is a fantastic draw and the pool is clean with plenty of towels and lounge chairs. The bar area up front with plenty of cozy seats was a really nice place to sit and relax. Breakfast was very basic, so I wouldn't get that next time, I would just walk around the neighborhood and find something instead. I had a VERY late night flight, so the staff offered to keep my luggage for me and told me that I was welcome to use the shower by the pool if I wanted to just use the hotel as a "homebase." SOO considerate. However, I decided to check out of my room, and book a spot in the dorm so I'd have somewhere to take a nap. I actually thought that that bed was much more comfortable than the regular room. The desk arranged my car service (taxi) to the airport, and again the service was fantastic! The driver got there early and was courteous and efficient. I'd definitely recommend the hotel and will certainly stay...

Soso: Breakfast: Most of food are cold and not much for vegetarian besides salad. There is no set of breakfast (only buffer), but they keep all day breakfast menu every morning....The preparation of ordered eggs/coffee/tea may take more than 20 mins, dont know if they forget or just really need that long time during not busy time. Room Wall: Not much noise from outside the road, but due to the sound prof of wall is not so good, we stayed at 3rd floor, woke up 2 a.m. to call reception to check upstairs due to noise. Also noise from next room as well as toilet flashing can be heard. Hair dryer: The hair dryer is not mounted on the wall, which you have to lift-up the the "mounted part" together to dry your hair.... We got room 217 for our 2nd stay for 3 days, however, the toilet water was stuck every morning, had to inform reception...
