We stayed 2 nights in Samsen street hotel . It’s got a young sociable vibe. The staff are friendly and warm. We were able to check in a little earlier when the room was ready. The pool was clean, although a bit busy. There is an outdoor bar serving drinks which was nice, and children-friendly films every night projected outdoors over the pool from around 6 pm. The Wi-Fi was decent and the AC worked. We chose the city facing room because we heard that the pool facing rooms could be noisy with the films, and we pleased that our room was quiet as we had a very early 4 am start to catch our transit the next morning. The room has plenty of hanging space which was nice. It’s a quirky modern design based around street food carts. We enjoyed hanging out in the bay window seating area designed to feel like an overnight bus or train carriage. The location was near a lot of restaurants and bars, as well as 7-11 and ATM. Only 10-15 montures walk to Kaosan road.

There were just a couple things that could be smoothed out on the housekeeping side. We requested our room cleaned in the morning and popped out for several hours to find the room hadn’t been cleaned which was a little inconvenient. The staff quickly tried to sort it within the hour we returned. The swimming pool towels were not readily replenished . They were available on the Sunday we arrived but on Monday there weren’t any until late...

I love this cute little boutique-style hotel! They were so welcoming, and the room was well done. (The bed is VERY hard, and the pillows are too "tall" for me, but otherwise it was great!) The location isn't great if you want to do anything other than grab a good meal at a small local restaurant. The neighborhood had a plethora of local eateries and a 7-11, but that's about it. It was a little difficult to get a Bolt/Grab car and everything is a bit of a drive away. However the "dive in movie" is a fantastic draw and the pool is clean with plenty of towels and lounge chairs. The bar area up front with plenty of cozy seats was a really nice place to sit and relax. Breakfast was very basic, so I wouldn't get that next time, I would just walk around the neighborhood and find something instead. I had a VERY late night flight, so the staff offered to keep my luggage for me and told me that I was welcome to use the shower by the pool if I wanted to just use the hotel as a "homebase." SOO considerate. However, I decided to check out of my room, and book a spot in the dorm so I'd have somewhere to take a nap. I actually thought that that bed was much more comfortable than the regular room. The desk arranged my car service (taxi) to the airport, and again the service was fantastic! The driver got there early and was courteous and efficient. I'd definitely recommend the hotel and will certainly stay...

Good: Location: Quiet location, with walking distance (witin 5 mins) for food, shop, massage, laundry. Even the road face to entrance road without that much noise. Taxi to central(MBK) for 200 THB, 450-500 THB to DMK airport. (by Grab). 15 mins walk to Kaosan Rd. Room: Facilities are modern and clean. Hot water always for shower & handwash. Bed and pillow are comfortable. Staff: Friendly. Free extension of check-out until 1-2 p.m.

Soso: Breakfast: Most of food are cold and not much for vegetarian besides salad. There is no set of breakfast (only buffer), but they keep all day breakfast menu every morning....The preparation of ordered eggs/coffee/tea may take more than 20 mins, dont know if they forget or just really need that long time during not busy time. Room Wall: Not much noise from outside the road, but due to the sound prof of wall is not so good, we stayed at 3rd floor, woke up 2 a.m. to call reception to check upstairs due to noise. Also noise from next room as well as toilet flashing can be heard. Hair dryer: The hair dryer is not mounted on the wall, which you have to lift-up the the "mounted part" together to dry your hair.... We got room 217 for our 2nd stay for 3 days, however, the toilet water was stuck every morning, had to inform reception...

Plenty of hanging space and long bench for bags in the room. Coffee cups are tiny though. Pretty acceptable room. But sink is in the bedroom and bathroom has the shower and toilet. There was a leak in the bathroom which they fixed quite promptly. Not all front desk staff speak English which can make communication "interesting" eg when asking for a larger mug for tea. Kettle and complimentary tea, coffee etc and two bottles of 500ml water each day. Shampoo and shower gel in small containers are refreshed daily. Close to pickup routes for tour operators so we got picked up at 7am. Short walk to Phra Arthit pier where you can catch the orange flag local boat for just 16baht for any stop to the major tourist sights along the Chao Phraya river eg Wat Arun and the Grand Palace.

I recently had a great two-night stay at this hotel while traveling for business alone. The staff is friendly, and it’s just 800 meters from a main public transport stop, with a direct bus from the airport. The room is a bit small, with a small window and a view of the building next door, but it’s very affordable for what you get. Breakfast is served at the Samsen Street hotel, a two-minute walk away, and is very good—I’d rate it 8.5 out of 10. There are plenty of choices, including vegetables, fruits, homemade omelets, and good coffee. For the price, you start your day full and happy. I highly recommend this place to other solo travelers.
