Mixed feelings........ Good beer, great staff, God awful tap system.
First off let me say the staff is incredible , so nice and polite, very professional but PLEASE pour the customers first beer to show them how to do it properly if you've never poured beer professionally before I can only imagine how awful of an experience it would be trying to pour your first beer without seeing someone do it for you the first time. Also the atmosphere is great! But God the "pour it yourself system" is just awful.
The main issue...holy hell fix the carbonation on the taps, It pours much too fast you get so much head on the beer it's insane. PLEASE fix the tap issues, release some of the pressure in the kegs and turn the flow on the taps down for a slower pour.
For context I've worked at two different craft breweries for a total of almost 5 years I literally make my living pouring beers and I couldn't get a decent pour on 4 different taps I tried, I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for someone not use to pouring from a tap. It was at minimum 40% head every single time. You are paying about 120 baht for half a beer each pour. You have the atmosphere and staff dialed in as well as some very good beers on tap but God damn I was so disappointed with the way the beer poured. I hate leaving a review like this to good people but hopefully it will help you make some changes...
Read moreThe signs say open, google maps says it's open, the door is locked (or stuck enough someone who does weightlifting can't shove open). And it's completely deserted. So glad I paid a Grab driver to take me to that neighborhood when I could have gone to a reliable place instead, Sheepshank, but decided to chance this place. It's a neat concept. There's a wine bar at home that does the same thing and its great, but you have to be open bro. Maybe an update of the hours? Some WD40 for the door?
Edited to add that maybe you should look a little bit further out? I was there at like 1 o'clock. There was literally nobody inside that I could see. Given the completely empty storefront and lack of door opening, I assumed you guys were closed, as would anyone. Perhaps next time if your employees see someone struggling with the door they can come to assist? It would be better for business....I'm $50+ USD deep at a different bar because I could get in without a struggle. Also, it must be a very slow day if you guys took the time to check CCTV lol. But look again, I'm the woman with the half shaved head. It's hard to miss me. I guess next time I'll throw my shoulder against the door for good measure. You guys are good with the secondary...
Read moreI discovered this venue last weekend, on a short trip to Bangkok. It's only been open for 4 months. It has a very clean and welcoming atmosphere. The owner spent some time talking with me and we had some very interesting discussions, he's a very warm and welcoming guy. His staff are also very friendly and made conversation with me when the opportunity arose. I don't drink alcohol, but he has a very novel approach of selling his real ales by the cc, so you can sample as little or as much of each one as you wish. The owner's passion is photography and he also sells a wide range of cameras, including disposables and the old wind/click models, 35 mm film and even a dark room for developing. The venue hosts live music events and has a cute performance area for 2/3 musicians, they also televise big sporting events on the screens they have installed. I planned to go back to watch the Liverpool match, but it absolutely poured down and i ended up watching it in my hotel room! I would recommend anyone who is in the area to make a visit to this venue, particularly if you want somewhere that's away from the more commercial areas of Bangkok and you're looking for somewhere a...
