My dining experience at Chef's Together by Aod & Dan was truly memorable, offering a delightful journey through Italian flavors over two evenings, all set against the beautiful backdrop of the Ping River. Friday Evening: Pizza Napoletana On Friday evening, I indulged in their Pizza Napoletana, and it was an absolute highlight. What struck me immediately was the record-fast service, a testament to their efficient kitchen. An authentic Neapolitan pizza, by tradition, features a thin, soft, and elastic crust with a slightly raised and blistered edge (the cornicione) that gets its characteristic char from the high heat of a wood-fired oven. It's typically topped sparingly with simple, high-quality ingredients: San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella (often mozzarella di bufala), fresh basil, and a drizzle of olive oil. The aim is a harmonious balance where no single ingredient overpowers the others. Chef's Together's rendition, while delicious, had a generous amount of cheese, perhaps more than a traditional Neapolitan pizza which typically prefers a lighter hand to allow the tomato and basil to shine. I had opted for anchovies, and found there weren't as many as I'd hoped. Despite these slight deviations from strict tradition, the pizza was exceptionally tasty and clearly crafted with care. The speed at which it arrived was also incredibly impressive. Saturday Evening: Tuna Tartare & Spaghetti Vongole Saturday evening brought another superb meal. The tartare of tuna was nothing short of perfect – fresh, well-seasoned, and a true pleasure to the palate. A slight service hiccup occurred when my tuna tartare, intended as a starter, arrived after the Spaghetti Vongole. However, this minor timing issue didn't detract from the overall enjoyment. The Spaghetti Vongole itself was well-made, featuring perfectly cooked pasta and flavorful clams. Ambiance and Overall Impression Beyond the delicious food, the location on the beautiful Ping River truly elevates the dining experience at Chef's Together. The riverside setting creates a serene and picturesque atmosphere, perfect for an enjoyable evening out. Adding to the lively ambiance was the live music, which made the restaurant feel vibrant and engaging. Despite a minor service timing issue on Saturday, Chef's Together by Aod & Dan delivers a fantastic culinary experience. The quality of ingredients, the delicious flavors, the efficient service, and especially the charming riverside location with live music, make it a highly recommended spot. I thoroughly enjoyed both my dinners and would happily return to explore more...
Read moreWe came here for Loy Krathong dinner on Wednesday. Here is our experience after paying 5600 thb for 3 adults and 1 child.
Parking. Despite the fact that we had a reservation and parking space was not full, we were told to park at other places blocks away. It was raining. A long waiting line to enter. We arrived at 1800 as per reservation. The problem was that the staff were continuously allowing people to cut in front of the line and get their bracelets without caring about who were actually standing in line. When we arrived, our assigned table was not even setup. It was not even there!!! The buffet line was open and the staff told us to get some food while waiting for our table but there was no place to sit while holding a plate of food. When our table was finally setup and ready after chasing down 4 different staff members, not a single server came by for our beverage order. Not even drinking glasses or water were brought to our table. I had to go to the bar, wait my turn to order the freaking soft drinks then wait 10 minutes for my change. 6.The "FREE" Loy Krathong floats were almost impossible to light them, and even after they were lit, the flame quickly died by the time you place them on the river. Others seemed to have the same problem. Obviously rain soaked. Was this a joke?
The food was delicious, not as extensive as last year and years before that but still, quite satisfactory. We decided to leave immediately after we finished our dinner. No idea about the entertainment. It was the best Loy Krathong experience ever but...

5 out of 5 stars
My wife and I visited Chef's Together by Aod & Dan twice during our recent stay in Chiang Mai, and we were both blown away on both occasions. If you're a European who's been craving a good craft beer, this is the place to go. They have a wide selection of delicious local IPAs on tap, as well as a variety of other beers and ciders.
The atmosphere is fantastic - it's super relaxed and stylish, with a great view of the river. The staff are all really friendly and helpful, and they speak excellent English.
The prices are a bit higher than you'll find in most other places in Chiang Mai, but it's definitely worth it for the quality of the food and drink, and the overall experience. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a few drinks with friends, this is the perfect spot.
Here are some additional things to note:
The restaurant is located a bit out of the way, but it's worth the effort to find it. They have a happy hour from 5-7pm every day, with discounts on beer and cocktails. They also have a small food menu, with a variety of snacks and light meals. The restaurant is open from 11am-11pm, seven days a week. Overall, we highly recommend Chef's Together by Aod & Dan. It's a great place to enjoy a few drinks, relax, and take in the...
