Yesterday I sampled OMG's breakfast special, and was it good! The picture below says it all. What is nice about every OMG meal is their touch of style. Every meal - like the breakfast - is served up on a nicely designed plate, with fine cutlery and the most appropriate accoutrements.

Needless to say, it tastes very, very good - and the staff are excellent.

My third review: Last Sunday I went to OMG and had their famous Sunday Roast. I usually find a meal of this size too much and that is why I haven't had one previously. Well - it was delicious, and beautifully cooked and served - a truly outstanding meal. I was well stuffed!

My second review: Tonight I went along to OMG's third anniversary party. And, OMG (pun intended) - is it really only three years that OMG has been in Chiang Mai. It seems so much longer - they have established themselves as a superb restaurant and bar, with many loyal customers.

The food and drinks are excellent, the staff are friendly and efficient, and on top of that, the owners have organized many events to support local charities and orphanages. Long may they remain a successful bar-restaurant here.

My original review: OMG - a new pretender to claim the crown of "best fish & chips in Chiang Mai'.

This well positioned site on the eastern corner of Loi Kroh, just prior to the Iron Bridge, has proved a graveyard for previous restaurants, having seen about 3 fail there in the past few years.

I sincerely hope this new one survives; it should. It has been thoroughly modernized and is clean as a new pin. The hostesses are divine and the owners very friendly.

Lots of dining and bar space, the cleanest toilets I've seen in a long while, a pool table, big TV screen and comprehensive menu. One could ask for nothing more.

I would hope to try some of the other dishes, but with 'fish & chips' this good, I won't be having anything else for a while. "OMG" uses only Atlantic cod (as does Kelly's, the previous holder of 'best fish & chips', but that's out of town).

Very highly...

4 May - snack, Home made Sausage roll- Very good. Updated 24 Mar. Ordinary Meal bordering on cold again. Bland, little taste. Won't be back for roast - too much inconsistency.

Updated 10 Mar Back to normal. All positive. Good meal.

Updated 3 Mar 24 Very busy and understaffed in dining room. Only one server and she did a great job - polite, never flustered and on the ball throughout. The Roast Pork meal although nice was disappointing. The presentation appeared hurried and the warmest part of the meal was the inside of the roast spuds. Everything else on the plate was bordering on cold. Very disappointing. Was very impressed (see 25 Feb below) but - CONSISTANCY will keep me coming back. Down one star.

Updated 25 Feb 24. Roast Pork Loin lunch was Excellent. I was told things had changed a little. I could not fault the meal. From the pork, the crisp Yorkshire, the al dente vegies and a broccoli in cheese sauce on the side - all Excellent. This is my new Sunday Roast spot. Highly recommended.

Heard that OMG had started Sunday Roast. 2pm til 8pm - obviously to catch late lunchers and dinner as well. My meal (Roast Pork with the works) was well presented, decent sized and generally a nice meal. Compared to other venues, the price is a lttle more for similar quality/quantity. My main criticism is that the vegies come on a side dish with the vegies pre cooked and then 'nuked' as required. As the waitress said "Don't touch plate, very hot". My broccoli and cauli looked nice, but were mush. Micro'd vegies just not the same. Staff were excellent and the service could not be faulted. If eating a roast alone, would probably go elsewhere. If invited with mates etc, would go back. Still...

Just had the best evening there, they gave us the fastest and the warmest service even though tonight is probably the busiest night of the whole year for them in Loy krathong festival, they are in the prime location just by the river. We had so much fun playing the pool. I noticed their kitchen and dining area and even the toilet is super clean equipped with the soap. Not to mention the food is amazing and the owner steward is such a nice guy! Last but not the least, the price is so fair and high value, there’s no service charge despite of their unbeatable service. I’ll definitely make this restaurant my “go-to place” and I can’t...
