Gravity Cafe & Bistro is conveniently located in the heart of Chiang Mai, near iconic landmarks like Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang. Its prime location makes it an excellent choice for casual coffee breaks or quick meetups, especially for those exploring the city.
The Samlan Road branch, located at 22 Samlan Road, Si Phum Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai 50200, delivers coffee that is rich, flavorful, and consistent with the high standards the Gravity brand is known for. The coffee I ordered was satisfying and well-prepared, showcasing the quality expected from a reputable cafe.
That said, the service at this branch has room for improvement. While the staff was friendly, their focus seemed to drift toward personal conversations rather than actively attending to customers. A bit more attentiveness and professionalism would enhance the overall experience, making it even more enjoyable for visitors.
For those in the area seeking a great cup of coffee, this branch is a convenient option. However, if you're looking for a quieter, more polished atmosphere to relax or work, you might find other cafes better suited to those needs.
With a little more attention to service quality, Gravity Cafe & Bistro at Samlan Road has the potential to offer an outstanding experience that matches its excellent coffee. It's a solid choice for a quick caffeine fix in the heart...
Read moreWe visited this cafe yesterday and, sadly, the main thing we’ll remember is the unbelievably rude waitress. From the moment we sat down, she seemed determined to make the whole experience as unpleasant as possible. She literally threw the menus onto our table without a word, didn’t smile once, and acted like serving us was a huge inconvenience. We even caught her being rude to other customers too — it honestly felt like we were on a hidden camera prank show.
The food itself was okay but nothing special, and definitely overpriced for what you get. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast burger(I think that’s what it’s called) and it arrived stuffed with cream cheese — which wasn’t even mentioned on the menu. He hates cream cheese and struggled to eat it because there was so much of it.
It’s a shame because the place could be decent, but with service like that, why bother? There are plenty of better cafes around with friendlier staff and better value for money. We...
Read moreFood was acceptable but my word the service from our waitress was slow and painful. Clear language barrier which is fine, I am a Brit in a Non English speaking country after all. The order for my wife and I did not turn up correctly, I then had to chase the waitress for the missing items (my drink and milk for tea) the waitress nodded as if they understood, then went away and did other tasks instead! I ended up getting my drink from the fridge as I wanted it with my meal, and then ten mins later she brought the drink over, no milk though. Another table had their dessert brought out before their main, the main had been left on its own for 5-10 mins going cold as the waitress hadn’t actioned it despite the service bell going a few times. There’s no structure or urgency, I can see that the food is good hence the ratings but the service creates a...
