Stumbled across Gravity when looking for ice coffee. I ended up having the iced Nutella Coffee and the Blueberry Smoothie Bowl, with both being delicious! Came back the next day to have lunch and I ordered the Creamy Mushroom Spaghetti and a Matcha Milk Tea - wasn’t disappointed. Service was a bit slow but this was due to them being super busy when I arrived since it was the lunch rush. Their menu has a lot to offer, mostly all day breakfast, but they also offer some Thai dishes as well as many Western foods. Just a bit of warning that it is a bit pricey since it is catered to tourists. The cafe has AC which is great to get away from the heat. Overall, I enjoyed the food, the employees were friendly and it’s in a great location.

Gravity Cafe & Bistro is conveniently located in the heart of Chiang Mai, near iconic landmarks like Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang. Its prime location makes it an excellent choice for casual coffee breaks or quick meetups, especially for those exploring the city. The Samlan Road branch, located at 22 Samlan Road, Si Phum Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai 50200, delivers coffee that is rich, flavorful, and consistent with the high standards the Gravity brand is known for. The coffee I ordered was satisfying and well-prepared, showcasing the quality expected from a reputable cafe. That said, the service at this branch has room for improvement. While the staff was friendly, their focus seemed to drift toward personal conversations rather than actively attending to customers. A bit more attentiveness and professionalism would enhance the overall experience, making it even more enjoyable for visitors. For those in the area seeking a great cup of coffee, this branch is a convenient option. However, if you're looking for a quieter, more polished atmosphere to relax or work, you might find other cafes better suited to those needs. With a little more attention to service quality, Gravity Cafe & Bistro at Samlan Road has the potential to offer an outstanding experience that matches its excellent coffee. It's a solid choice for a quick caffeine fix in the heart of Chiang Mai.

We grabbed coffee and brunch at this cafe. The eggs Benedict with mushrooms tasted fantastic. Initially, I thought the sauce was too sour since I'm used to the one made by my soulmate. However, when I tried everything together, the flavors blended perfectly, and it was just right. The beef skewers were tender, and the balance between sweetness and saltiness was spot on. Lastly, the iced Americano was excellent, with its dark roast not being overly bitter and having a nice aftertaste. Overall, our taste buds and tummies were thoroughly spoiled. My girlfriend will also share her thoughts in her review :)

Atmosphere was ok. Outdoor seating is on the street at a busy intersection. Indoors air-conditioning isn't that cold. Croissant tasted a bit stale and the "salted caramel latte" didn't taste like anything... the vanilla latte was better and the mango passion fruit smoothie was passable, but not better than cheaper alternatives from street vendors. Maybe their breakfast plates and sandwiches are more impressive, but as a coffee and snack stop it's only slightly above average. (And their 3% credit card service charge is low class)

Great food, great coffee. I’m assuming after that bad reviews they received on the long waiting time, they moved to a ‘order at the counter’ approach. It works very well. I got my food very fast. The iced americano had great taste, and they agreed to bring me coconut milk on the side, which cafes in Chiang mai seems to not do (why not? It’s so much better than soy or almond, and it’s also local). The avocado toast was really good. Bread is freshly made, which is a huge plus and rare in Thailand.

The store layout is very nice, and the food tasted okay. I ordered a latte with coconut milk and a smoothie bowl also with coconut milk - which were both very clearly requested to the waitress and she also repeated after me. Unfortunately the smoothie bowl came with regular milk, and considering I m intolerant I had a very unpleasant experience afterwards for the rest of the day. Also the portion size wasn’t satisfactory for its price. Unfortunately we won’t be visiting this place again.
