The food was amazing and the service was top notch. I ordered the Northern Thai Special Set 1. The dish was not very spicy except for the green pepper leaves - holy f*ckin cow it was hot. I passed on those the rest of the meal.

The waitress asked if I had ever had a dish like this before when she brought it out (I had not). I'm an Irish American who cannot handle spice. I push the limits every time.

When only a few tables were occupied at 6:00 pm on a Saturday and the rest were covered with dirty dishes I should have picked up on the indifference and walked. I was buzzed by flies for quite some time before the server took my order. The khao soi had a chicken drumstick that was overcooked and seemingly left to dry out for a day. The stir fried mixed vegetables were about like something you would get in a “Chinese”restaurant in the Midwest United States, where vegetables are scarce and tend to be frozen.
