We went to Lookbua both for lunch and a late night dinner. True to Thai hospitality, the staff was warm, welcoming and full of smiles. They even helped us select the menu based on what taste and texture we were looking for. We selected the pineapple and pork curry (heavenly), and the mandatory pad Thai noodles. The best part for us personally was the portion on the platter. We did not want to overeat for We were planning to walk a lot and explore more food joints. Their portion was such that it fit our requirements perfectly. Not a single delicious morsel was wasted. For the night we went with the spicy stir fried flat noodles. Diese Bewertung verfassen wir gemeinsam – meine Freundin und ich. Das verleiht ihr gleich doppelte Gewichtung, da wir beide unabhängig voneinander restlos begeistert sind. Meine Freundin hat zudem einen sehr empfindlichen Magen und eine Laktoseintoleranz, was bei Restaurantbesuchen nicht immer einfach ist. Umso mehr verdient dieses Lokal unser höchstes Lob.

Wir kamen zu später Stunde direkt nach einem langen Flug und dem Check-in ins Hotel hierher, weil der Hunger noch groß war. Schon der erste Eindruck überzeugte: freundlicher Empfang, schnelle Platzierung, und ein Service, der seinesgleichen sucht. Man setzt sich hin, und innerhalb von Sekunden – ja, Sekunden – stehen die Getränke auf dem Tisch. Auch das Essen wird in beeindruckender Geschwindigkeit serviert, ohne dass dies auf Kosten der Qualität geht.

Während unseres Aufenthalts probierten wir nahezu die gesamte Speisekarte durch – und jedes einzelne Gericht war ein Genuss. Frisch, aromatisch, perfekt abgeschmeckt und wunderschön angerichtet. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist dabei herausragend: Man bekommt Spitzenqualität zu sehr fairen Preisen.

Ein besonderes Highlight: Man kann direkt in die Küche schauen und den Köchen bei der Arbeit zusehen. Dieses transparente, eingespielte Team wirkt wie ein präzises Uhrwerk – jeder Handgriff sitzt. Das verleiht dem Ganzen eine familiäre, authentische Atmosphäre, die uns sofort wohlfühlen ließ.

Auch sprachlich ist das Personal gut aufgestellt: Einige sprechen Englisch und Thailändisch, andere ausschließlich Thailändisch – dennoch funktionierte die Kommunikation jederzeit problemlos.

Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt – auch wenn er den Gesamteindruck nicht schmälert: Die Toiletten sind schlicht gehalten, sauber und mit Seife, Toilettenpapier und Tüchern ausgestattet, aber eher zweckmäßig als luxuriös.

Unser Fazit: Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen – ohne Zögern, egal ob zum Mittag- oder Abendessen. Meine Freundin hatte trotz empfindlichem Magen und Laktoseintoleranz keinerlei Probleme mit dem Essen, was für die Qualität und Frische der Zutaten spricht. Dieses Restaurant ist ein absolutes Muss für alle, die Wert auf hervorragendes Essen, blitzschnellen Service und ein herzliches Ambiente legen.
