Rong Leuy Tha Phea — Restaurant in Chiang Mai Province

Overall this place has a really good setup and great atmosphere and the food has good flavour and has a good range of drinks on the menu including some Chiang Mai craft beers at 180 Baht each. We ordered 3 dishes thinking we would get a meal but I would say the serving are more snack size then a actual meal and that’s where this place lets itself down with the small servings. I would expect alot more from a place with this appearance in regards to presentation of the food and quality. I food does have a nice flavour though I must admit. Overall not a bad experience but abit over priced for what you get. But I did enjoy the experience of relaxing here. They could do with a few more fans around to keep people cool in the outdoor area.

My main criticism of this place was the service. As you expect when you order your food to get everything at the same time almost but we found the food came in bits and pieces and considering we did not order much this was disappointing.

Honestly, I think this place could so much better. Some menus should be added that serve those who don’t eat meat, some dishes available come in such small portion that we were a bit shocked. Wine price is a bit too pricey but considering the vibe, it’s fine. We dine at the outdoor zone, and the vibe was fine, would be better if there was a longer live band duration. The waiter was extremely polite and kind. The DJ was superb, the indoor zone is quite chill and vibing, honestly the credit goes to DJ and that service person!!!! Food should be improved in every aspect, the portion, the price and the menus should have more variations!!!! We were shocked by the portion comparing to the price.

A hidden gem right on one of the oldest streets of Chiang Mai (Tha Phea Road), serving fabulous local Northern Thai foods, cocktails bar and varieties selection of Brandy. Providing indoor AC and back yard outdoor garden seating. Over all, one of my favorite hang out night spots every times when I’m back in Chiang Mai….if you’re looking for good vibes...
