I recently had a delightful lunch experience at a charming Indonesian restaurant in Chiang Mai, and I wanted to share the details with anyone looking for authentic flavors and a peaceful atmosphere.
I visited on a Tuesday afternoon, arriving around 2:30 pm. It was a wonderfully quiet time to go, as I was the only client in the restaurant. This allowed me to truly appreciate the ambiance and receive some extra special attention from the staff.
Speaking of the staff, they were absolutely fantastic. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine friendliness. They were attentive without being intrusive, happy to answer my questions about the menu, and made me feel incredibly welcome. Their hospitality truly enhanced my dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food – the star of the show! I was incredibly impressed with the authenticity and deliciousness of the dishes. You can tell that they use fresh ingredients and time-honored recipes. The flavors were vibrant and well-balanced, showcasing the complexity and richness of Indonesian cuisine. I ordered one of their signature dish and the presentation was beautiful, with colorful garnishes and fragrant spices. The aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. Each bite was an explosion of flavor, with a perfect blend of sweet, savory, and spicy notes. It was truly a culinary treat.
Beyond the food and service, I also appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant. Everything was tidy and well-maintained, creating a pleasant and hygienic dining environment. This attention to detail speaks volumes about the restaurant's commitment to providing a quality experience for its customers.
Overall, my visit to this Indonesian restaurant was exceptional. The combination of delicious, authentic food, incredibly friendly staff, and a clean, peaceful atmosphere makes it a must-try for anyone in Chiang Mai craving Indonesian flavors. Whether you're looking for a quiet lunch like I was, or a place to enjoy dinner with friends and family, I highly recommend this restaurant. I will definitely be returning in the future to explore more of their menu. Highly...

Disclaimer: the restaurant does not have Halal cert, but all their beef and chicken are from halal sources. This place was recommended to me by a kind lady I met in the Masjid too :)
I had the bakmi ayam (or in menu: Chicken Noodle) it tastes like the one I had in Indo. The noodles were chewy and soft, and the chicken taste was prominent! The sambal added a nice zing, too. I had the chance to try other dishes that we ordered (some not in photo) - gado gado, capcay, sambal petai udang and nasi uduk - all of them tasted authentic.
When I arrived, they were a bit busy with preparing food aid to the flood victims but also tried their best to accommodate my family of 5. All in all, good cafe, good food, good people....
Read moreHands down the most flavorful menu you can find in Chiang Mai city. Every ingredient is prepared with attention to quality. No MSG and yet so aromatic and tasty. You will NOT be disappointed! We especially enjoyed the Chicken and Beef Rendang, Dumpling Soup, Nasi Campur, (with interesting mix of ingredients at times), Mee Goreng, Tahu Goreng and looking forward to try the rest!
Evenings are often packed as there are only few restaurants open till late in that area. Parking can be a challenge at those hours so we try to frequent during the day time. Some staff are new so please be a little patient with them, usually seniors who have hard time getting waitress jobs elsewhere.
The air-conditioned room can sometimes be filled with very loud customers, so we retreat to the open air section if we encounter those.
And below, I share their full menu! Fanny said she will constantly be changing and improving it over time....
