A charming, family-run Thai eatery in Chiang Mai that truly felt like eating a homecooked meal. The setting is humble—non-aircon, with both sheltered and outdoor seating—but the warm, genuine service makes it special.
Portions are large and served in a single size—definitely more than enough for two people. The dishes were full of fresh ingredients, and we appreciated the good range of vegetarian options.
It took a little time for our tofu and eggplant dish to arrive, but we didn’t mind, especially with the rain pouring outside. We saw the cook—likely the mum of the family—carefully checking the wok, and it was clear she took pride in the food. There was also an elderly lady helping clear the tables, possibly the granny of the household, which added to the homey, welcoming feel.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for hearty, authentic Thai food in a relaxed, family-style setting. The prices are low, don't forget to leave a...
Read moreI'm not a good enough writer to explain the level of good this place is. From the kindness of the two people in charge who I believe her maybe mother and son to the deliciousness of the food off the freaking rails.. Because of the previous reviews I even ordered two dishes. I never order... green chicken curry (I'm a Penang guy) and chicken Khao Soi (I don't even know what that is) but I'll probably never order it again because I don't want it to fail and I don't think it will live up to what I had tonight and so I want to remember that. As we would say in Hawaii "ho brudah broke da mouth" And if you can't figure out what that means... Trust me, it means it's freaking delicious... If you're within 50 mi of this place, get here and thank me later Food was so good. I had to take a picture with the woman cooking because I never want...
Read moreI wanted to try this place as it’s local to me and because of the good reviews. It’s always busy, as it was when I sat down around 8.30pm. I ordered straight away and after more than 45 minutes my food hadn’t come but I noticed that the table next to me had something they ordered about 20 minutes after I ordered arrive. So I asked the server how long my food would be. He said “another 15 minutes” with no apology or any concern. As a solo traveler I felt really unwelcome and uncomfortable. By this time it was after 9pm so I decided to leave and go to the night market instead. Very disappointed. I know it is just one lady cooking all the food but I’ve eaten at plenty of places like this and would have been happy to wait if they weren’t so...
