Came with a party of 3 and ordered two coffees and 1 pot of tea. The staff brought out the coffee and we waited 15 minutes but no tea, turns out they forgot it so we had to ask them. Ordered 3 meals (roti spinach cheese, Khao soi, and mango toast with ice cream) and only the first two came out. After about 20 minutes (first two meals were finished) and the 3rd hadn't come out. Had to ask them again which I think they forgot but said oh the toast takes a long time to bake. Finally after waiting 40 minutes, our 3rd diner was able to eat. Typically if the food was worth the wait, I wouldn't complain but yeah this wasn't the case. The bread had sugar sprinkled on top and was toasted just on the top. The remaining 80% was just plain bread on the inside with no flavor. The coffee was delicious, the roti spinach cheese was good, the rest was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the poor service and long wait times. No apologies were even provided by the staff which is a bit surprising considering they're a coffee shop attached to a fancy spa so one would assume service is a top priority but I assumed wrong. The The last annoyance was if you're sitting inside, be prepared to be bombarded...
Read moreAwesome place to spend some time over a coffee, at least that's what I did. The outer seating area is beautiful and prices for coffee are very affordable (hot coffee starts at 50 baht) whereas food seems to be on the pricier side. For sure one of the most beautiful outside settings - and toilets - in Chiang Mai. Update: Come for the drinks not for the food. Mango sticky rice comes with tasteless coconut milk - never had that before - and a tiny half scoop of ice cream. Overall taste very average. Update 2: Came back again after 4 years, still a very cute and calming place with the water mill and nice outside seating (bring mosquito spray though). The matcha latte is intense, unlike other olaces and when requesting it hot it comes hot which is mich appreciated. So far the only place that doesn't charge extra for soy milk. Also, there's the Bangkok Post available for reading. I will be back...
Read moreThis place met my expectations after the great reviews. They could be a little quicker with inviting you to a seat, I’m just dining alone, and maybe a large party would get their attention quicker. I did forget to photograph the food, but suffice to say it was well presented. The flavors were outstanding, I had the Phanaeng Curry with Chicken, and the chef recommended salad with fried tofu and tamarind dressing. I had a double cafe macchiato which was also beautifully prepared as well as delicious. This is definitely a place for tourists as you won’t find any locals eating here, but I think it’s fitting for vacationers who like to feel they’re in a tropical paradise. Of course it’s a little more expensive than traditional restaurants in Chiang Mai, but it’s very reasonable and the ambience is very nice. I think it’s definitely worth a visit if...
