Chiangmai is a heaven for vegetarians, but not only this place. It was the worst dinner in the city. - As somebody wrote before – they use tofu almost in all the dishes, but they absolutely don’t know how to cook it, it has absolutely no taste in "fried eggplants with tofu". Very overpriced. - It was the worst TomYam ever. It was cooked with potato, had no flavour and almost no taste. Very overpriced. - Mango sticky rice was awful too. The rice tasted like just rice with a little bit sugar, with no coconut milk. And they even didn’t peel the mango 🙈 + It was only one good dish – brownie. Not perfect, but good. So I don’t recommend to visit this place. There are so many wonderful tasty places in Chiangmai where you can have much better experience for smaller price. We paid 270 bat for this dinner and ate it only because we were very hungry 😅 So I don’t understand all good reviews. The only good thing there is friendly stuff. P.S. Answer to the owner: Yes, I eat not only tofu, 1% of my food is seafood because I’m seagan, not vegan. But other 99% of food I eat is vegan and I know how tasty it can be if you will cook it with good sauce, and spices, fry and so on. For example I ate tasty tofu today in local vegetarian restaurant and it was very tasty. Yours tofu tasted just like you cut it and added to the ready dish, didn’t cook with spices and sauce at all. As for mango sticky rice – I ate it a lot of times on night markets and it was much tastier because rice was cooked with coconut milk, topping with coconut milk was sweet too and so in. And again – you didn’t even peel and cut mango. Do you think it’s comfortable to eat? I wrote this review to help you to see another opinion and may be it’ll be good if you’ll go to other cafes in Chiangmai and try their vegan food to see that tofu can be tasty.

We just came to look at the menu but the owner treated us badly not welcoming at all. We just want to have a nice and calm ambiance. So not worth the support and the price of food increases. Update** I would like to clarify the situation. As we went into the restaurant just to check out and explore the place. The owner came out and said "Outside is full, Outside is full. You can sit inside " (no greetings or welcoming smile) Then I talked to her asking for the menu in Thai "Can I please see the menu?" cause I think there's more than the one at the front . Then she replied "Outside " with the upsetting tone like I should have known which I never expected it from this restaurant based on the review. I came here a week earlier and saw the restaurant was closed so I decided to come here the second time expecting the nice and delicious food but I yet had a sad experience like this so I left the review based on how I was treated then 3 days later, the owner sent the threatening message saying if i don't delete the review, she will report to the police. I posted the review as the customer that had a disappointing experience, I never mean no harm to your business at all. I shared my experience just hoping that you would improve the service to the customers, either local Thai or foreigner, that's all. I don't know you personally, please don't take it personally.

I'm going to be the bad guy. The 2 stars are not for rating the food because I didn't eated any. They are the reflect of my experience there. Well 2 stars for the place, small, only a few tables, but nice atmosphere. I ordered some spring rolls and a tea leaves salad. To correct some comments, not a great choice of food and not innovative compared to some other vegan restaurants in ChiangMai, I expected, after having read the comments, greater choice and innovative food, was disappointed. There was only one customer before me and I waited quite a wile before the salad arrived, not as fast as some peoples wrote in their comments. The salad was about 60/40 tea leaves and cucumber and I can't eat cucumber and I return and canceled the salad proposing to pay for it. They should precise the ingredients of this salad on the menu, what they do for another salad. I waited for the spring rolls and asked a foreign man who seems to be the owner or co-owner, he went to what they call the kitchen and came back saying that the waitress didn't understood my order and no spring rolls... I paid my drink, they didn't asked me to pay for the mixed salad, end of the story.

Had a distasteful experience here. I ordered an entree off the menu that had tofu which I didn’t know it came with because it was not listed on the menu. I have physical intolerances(allergies). When I told the waiter my situation he returned the food back to the kitchen and a few minutes later a woman(or a man) came out and yelled from across the floor “why don’t you eat tofu!”. I calmly walked over and explained my sensitivities and was met with harsh tones and lectures on how tofu is “needed” for protein. Which this statements is not true, the body utilizes amino acids more efficiently than the protein itself. Anyways this person kept trying to shame and make me out to be in the wrong for not eating tofu, I calmly explained my situation over and over but was never heard. Seeing this wasn’t going nowhere I decided to pay for the food I didn’t even eat and leave. The negativity and self righteousness that was emanating from this person was saddening and upsetting which I did not want to be a part of by existing in that space any longer.

I would highly recommend Chada Vegetarian Restaurant Chiang Mai, Kinphak Cafe, May Kaidee x Morning Glory and Reform Kafe(I bit pricy though) for a pleasant dining experience.

P.S. as you all can see with this person’s response it is very immature, rude and unprofessional. Reread the review I’m not here to argue about my experience, I’ve...
