Local Thai Food At Kata — Restaurant in Karon

We bought a lot of food here because it was so good. 🤩

It's a family owned restaurant by a mother and her son. They are so sweet and accommodating. The food was incomparable to most other places i've tried. It was real authentic thai food. No bs, no western food, but real authentic thai food. Soo delicious!❤️

We had the 'Pad thai, vegetarian' and another dish i unfortunately don't know the name of. See the pictures for reference.

The owners are more proficient with english than most.

This is a real gem. The place was very clean, cozy and the music was not too loud and the song choices were good.

I heartily recommend trying the mango smoothie, it is so good and refreshing and the mango is very ripe and tasty. 🥭

The owners were kind. We bought 4 dishes and 3 mango smoothies, costing us 540 bath in total. Very fair ✨

The portion sizes were good, we even got delicious soup as a side. The soup at first looked like it wouldn't taste of much, but actually its the most tasty soup I've ever had. Its based on carrots and onions and spiced nicely 😊

I needed to wait almost 1 hour! But the owner just repeated 10 mins or 2 minutes or right now though I wanted to cancel if I know it in advance. Then the rice was not warm and mistook my order, then I asked him that is it really ‘ Falang child” level hot even though with 2 chilies? Then he say ‘yes’. But I rechecked the menu and I found it’s not. Then it’s too spicy then I couldn’t eat everything. The price is still very expensive than local price and the service is worse than local restaurant. I know it’s touristic area but still. I regret very much to choose this restaurant. There are many good restaurants here in Kata with the same price range and nicer taste...

This place would deserve 5 outside Thailand, but in Thailand I give it 4. If you don't have big experience with Thai food, you will love it. The food is rich in flavour, but curry is very thin. I am surprised that the staff doesn't ask about level of spiciness, because it is in touristic place. If you don't mention anything about it, the food comes very spicy. For me not possible to...
