I usually only write reviews when I’ve been positively blown away by a restaurant’s service, but I simply couldn’t help and point out the glaring discrepancy between this place’s reviews and our experience.

We arrived when there were only 5 other people in the restaurant and plenty of waitstaff around. However, we (4 people) had to wait at least 10 minutes for our drinks (the coffee was also very weak and had too much milk), and 45 minutes for our food.

The Menemen (photo) was way too watery, had an overpowering taste of onion, did not use real feta, and was extremely watery. The portion, relative to the price, was also quite small. The “healthy breakfast” was an even smaller portion with barely any buckwheat – and also just dry buckwheat.

We were asked in the beginning if we wanted to split the bill, and confirmed this. However, we still only received one bill, and it took another ten minutes to figure out the bill.

For the price paid, this experience was entirely not worth it.

Lovely secluded little gastro cafe close to the tourist center of Katha. Excellent menu with a mix of European and Thai dishes. Everything cooked exquisitely, finally found European quality in the middle of Asia. Loved everything except for the unpleasant moment with the service. ‼️ We wanted to enter later, when the live band would start playing, but the waiters enticed us with a happy hour offer with a 50% discount on all cocktails. And, although there are no complaints about the service and attention from the staff, in the end we received the bill without the discount 🤷🏼‍♀️, what we realized only after we'd paid it. When we asked if there was no mistake, the waitress simply said that once we paid, discount could not be applied. Showing not any special regret about it. We were offered to get more cocktails or come back for them another time, but we had neither time nor desire. In general, everything was great, we'll definitely come back again, but from now on gotta be more careful...

The food is beautifully prepared with great quality ingredients and expertly made by the chef who takes pride in his creations. The pork ribs were so tender with a unique but not overpowering sauce. The cheese plate is filled with really high quality and served with bread reminiscent of rye which goes well with the platter. The meat platter is equally good and the burger as well. It’s close to fusion but with recipes that don’t try to just be different but are unique in their own right.

Beer is served ice cold which on a hot Phuket afternoon is extremely welcome. The staff is friendly and attentive and you feel like your a special customer. Interior design is tasteful and refined. Lovely restaurant with occasional live music and always good jazz playing on the speakers. Nice ambiance. I highly recommend...
