We stayed at Avista Grande Phuket from 3-18th November and had breakfast each morning as well as evening dining and a special grand Indian buffet one weekend. The breakfast was extensive covering western style breakfast, as well as noodle bar, egg station, salad bar, bakery, Thai dishes, soups, juices, cheeses and more! The evening dining menu covered Thai and international dishes and were well stylishly presented and deliciously prepared. We visited the grand Indian buffet last Sunday which was 1399 baht including unlimited sparkling wine pp. This was delicious - prepared by the Head chef Anand and comprising hors d'oeuvres, starters, mains, desserts and breads and was well attended and is highly recommended. The staff both in the kitchen and front of house were faultless in their service, attention to details and remembering how you liked your coffee, where you liked to sit and literally could not do enough for you - even to the point of making me some ginger tea when I had a sore throat!
Bow and Annie looked after us like we were part of their family and deserve a special mention, but we were also looked after by Ang, Bryan, Evie, Top and Ranu the restaurant manager. However many times we thanked Ranu he was always keen to highlight the work of his staff more than himself. Anand I’ve mentioned was both a fabulous chef but also took time to speak to the guests and check that everything was to their liking. Mariz was on the eggs station and was unfailingly cheerful and helpful and there were several other members of staff whose names we’d didn’t get but who we would like to thank. On the day before we left the staff provided us with a high tea in our room which was a lovely touch and we very much appreciated.

We had a fantastic stay at AVISTA GRANDE KARON RESORT - PHUKET during our trip from Australia with our older parents. The spacious rooms with modern decor and ocean views made it extra special.
From the start, we were warmly welcomed by ALEX at the front desk — her friendly attitude made a great first impression and set the tone for our stay.
The service throughout the resort was exceptional. At Portosino restaurant, we were truly impressed by BOYD, the manager — one of the most humble and respectful people we’ve met. His kindness and professionalism stood out every day.
SUNIL at the restaurant helped our parents feel more comfortable by speaking our language — a small gesture that made a big difference.
A big thank you to CHEF MANGAL, who went above and beyond to prepare authentic Indian dishes and masala tea for our parents. His care and attention brought real comfort and meant a lot to our family.
We also enjoyed great food at CHAR’D, which, along with Portosino, is located right within the resort.
To all the wonderful staff — NICE, PRAE, THO, EVE, PEACH, CHOLLY, and everyone whose names we may have missed — thank you for making our stay so memorable. Every interaction was warm and professional.
The pool was beautiful and relaxing, and the resort is just a short walk from Karon Beach, adding to the convenience.

You can choose from so many a la carte options... Finally a brunch with no buffet, everything made to order.... unlimited French sparkling wine is included too... all for a fixed price.
And all dishes are big enough to share, which we did, so you can taste many things.
My favourites were the Lamb Chop, which fell of the bone, Super Fresh Phuket Lobster in an amazing curry, Ricotta Cheese Kofta, Chicken Biryani, with the rice cooked in perfection, and ofcourse the Tandoori Jumbo Saffran Prawns, perfectly seasoned. I recommend to start with Paani Puri, a refreshing flavour explosion.
I also recommend to try some of their cocktails... They got a nice range of creative signature cocktails, and ofcourse all the classics made to perfection. We tried the Mai Tai, which is a classic ofcourse, but the way they made it was amazing. We also tried one of their signature cocktails, Phulae Pineapple, a delicious combination of local spirits and sparkling wine, combined with fresh Phuket Pineapple.
The service is excellent, super friendly staff with eye for detail.
They only organise it every other sunday, so when in Phuket don’t miss this... for me this was one the most memorable...
