KATA VILLA - MERIT HILL BUNGALOWS — Hotel in Karon

My favourite hotel in the Phuket region. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean with AC (well working), the only thing is in some rooms the shower is weird. I mean the shower head pours the water in every direction plus the water heater was not working (I was accommodated to 2 different ones during my stay. I booked firstly for 2 nights but the stay was great so I extended it and with that, I had to change room). Still, this doesn't change those 5 stars because everything else was extraordinary. The pool is nice and fresh (a bit too much chlorine), live music is great and you can even do some karaoke. And now the biggest highlight- breakfast, OMG it is just amazing. You can choose 5 items from the breakfast menu, and fill your stomach with fresh, good food until the evening. I am vegetarian and there was no problem with it. I had spring rolls, yoghurt, fruits and many sandwich options and more to choose from. For vegans, there are options as well. Highly recommended to everyone :)) oh location! One minute from the kata beach and close to many...

Accommodation aside, once again you can tell a business owner who truly understands the life time value of a happy guest is the most important metric in hospitality, by the way they resolve problems. No arguing, no negotiating, just provides a quick and simple Solution to a problem.

Let me explain.

I accidentally booked the wrong night and arrived at the hotel the day I was supposed to checkout. I happened to arrive whilst the new owner Chris, was at the front desk. A 40 second chat, a quick check on the current occupancy and availability of my room.

And ….Sorted! No stress, no drama, no hassle.

As a thank you I then decided to book another night and am glad I did. Clean, well appointed rooms…thoughtful additions like multi point adapters near the bed, fast internet, decent little breakfast and 5 minutes walk to the beach.

I couldn’t be happier For The price…. Well...

Stayed 13days in May. this Karon Beach hotel is fantastic , My 5th stay here.Staff are marvellous, and people with a

good kind heart. The menu and food is 100 % whether you preferr Thai or farang food.

The menu has a great choice of food and drinks.

The bar choices are phenomenal , The breakfast is out of this world, The rooms

and hygiene standard throughout the resort are in my opinion 2nd to none.

The Kata Villa is relaxing and tranquil and the my favorite by far of all the resorts I

have stayed at on Koh Phuket, I am coming back again in October,

I feel sabai sabai all the time while I stay at Kata Villa. ( peaceful and happy)
