Now I am still living in the Hotel, but I can't wait to give my fair comments seriously. (Check in 8 Sep, 2016, will check out on 16 Sep )
Bad ones: 1, The thing really made me sad is that I was swimming in the swimming pool at about 16:30 on 13 Sep with my mom and wife. Without any pre-notification, the staffs in the hotel began to clean the swimming pool with smelly chemical water or something, the swimming pool looked very dirty and smelly (it can be seen from the pictures I took) and at that time I was just in the swimming pool and none of the staffs told me. I went to the hotel lobby to ask the front desk manager for an explanation about this ridiculous issue that the first time I met in my whole life. The front desk manager didn't take this issue very seriously at the very beginning and his attitude can't be acceptable by any guests in the world I swear. The conversation between this front desk manager and I couldn't continue so I insisted that I would like to see the hotel manager right now or tomorrow morning during my breakfast time, 9-10 o'clock on 14 sep. The front desk manager gave her (Maybe it's Mrs. Sunanta Malee) a call, but still didn't work. Could anyone believe that this simple issue lasted for half an hour without any solution? And the guests who will be staying in this hotel for 8 nights could not see the hotel manager to discuss this ridiculous issue. Why does Andaman seaview hotel dare to treat her guests like this? My answer is this is a hotel without any management. No one could tell how bad this smelly chemical water which used to clean the swimming pool could hurt me in the coming future. 2, Most of the staffs are not friendly enough, they don't say hi or smile to you once meeting you no matter in the entrance, in the lobby, on the way to my room, besides the pool or anywhere else. 3, the swimming pools(they've got two with 1.3 meters) are too small to swim in it. 4, Most of the sum umbrellas near the swimming pools are broken or can't be used properly. And also most of time with no towels on the chairs. 5, No WIFI in the room for sure, as I know you could pay for use it in the room of a 4-star hotel.
Good ones: 1, There are only two boys working in restaurant make me feel good, the thin boy I believe he is from Nepal, named Abhishek Dhungelor something, really helpful and friendly as well as a fat boy with classes also working in the restaruant, I don't konw his name and nationality. 2, Near to Karon beach, that's the only reason why I choose to stay here.
I would STRONGLY not recommend anyone travel with family or business trip to stay here. Couples prefer high quality service and hotel management, or romantic atmosphere please don't stay...
Read moreThe Andaman Seaview is in a good location. The hotel is fine but is great in certain areas - customer service , room service and helpfulness. However, there were elements in the hotel which were very disappointing and not as advertised. If I had known at time of booking I might have looked elsewhere. ||On my first day, I was told that their spa was closed , which was disappointing as this was advertised on their listing. Also, the bakery was shut and filled with old fridges and looked a bit of an eyesore. Another disappointment.||The pool bar was very uninviting and one of the bar stools was completely broken under the water- I cut my foot on a bit of the metal hanging off. I reported to the bar/ restaurant staff but a few days later it was still the same and I had to warn others about to sit on it. ||When ordering drinks at the pool bar, which was very bare and not inviting (no lights on , no drinks shown on the bar or bar area as you would find at other hotels), I waited for around 20 minutes twice to be served as the waiter and waitress were flirting and messing around, even though they saw me stood there waiting …. I felt a little upset by this. More could be done to make the bar look more like a bar , indeed.||I used the gym once. It was absolutely sweltering in there as the air con was not on. I also had to spend a good ten minutes trying to figure out where the power supply was for the machines - no directions. Very poor and old equipment and the step machine did not work at all. It was a very uncomfortable work out and one which I only did once as it was just too hot without the air on being on beforehand. No mats to lie on when on the floor either. ||My room had a balcony and the railings were covered in pigeon poo. The tiled floor on the balcony was cleaned everyday but the railing which people hang towels over were covered in poo and looked horrible. ||One set of my bedsheets had blood stains in the inside and another set had loads of mascara on. It’s was disgusting and I had to flip the sheets over. ||Generally, around the hotel there are signs of quick jobs being done , e.g paint splatters on tiles and shoddy repairs.||On the first day in the pool I also found what I thought was a rat, but turned out to be a house vole stuck in one of the water vents. ||I wouldn’t say that this is 4*, maybe high three. I was disappointed with the lack of advertised spa , the rubbish service at the pool bar and the bar itself and also the ill-equipped gym, which really isn’t much of a gym. In addition to the step machine not working , the multi gym was also out of order , too, so no weights or leg work outs.||For the price I think I could have found somewhere nicer...
