Fraud, scam and deception - stay away! We stopped by restaurant’s entry one day before our actual visit here to check their menu and enquired the waiter about the specific seasonal items we were particularly interested in - as we never tried them before. Waiter assured us that all these items are available and that’s what determined our decision to give it a try, otherwise we would go to our favorite place next door - Nagiya Izakaya. So we are arriving next day and NONE of of the menu positions we enquired on on a previous day were available. That’s how they lure in the customers - by DECEPTION. Fugu roe was 50% roe and 50% salt - you can’t taste the original product flavor, just salt in your mouth. Picture of the product in the menu and what you get on the plate are completely different. Whale tongue sashimi - they served us the cheapest part of the tongue while the photo in menu shows the premium cut. Sashimi where sliced from unfrozen piece, not fresh at all. Uni were mix of different types of uni: different color, size and texture. It looks like they scrapped the leftovers from what was left from the previous days. Fishy taste, not fresh at all. We asked if they have hamachi sashimi as it was not on the menu. Waiter confirmed they have it. Later on we discovered they served us kampachi sashimi, they didn’t have hamachi in stock at all. DECEPTION again. All sashimi served were super thin - twice thinner of what you normally expect in a descent Japanese restaurant specializing in seafood. We ordered unagi bowl as dish photo in menu promised to have a generous amount of eel - literally fully covering the rice underneath. What we were served in reality is less than half of this (please check the photo attached to this review). FRAUD! Instead of Itayagai sashimi they brought us Itaya Kai Su dish where scallops were broiled, not a sashimi at all. What a FRAUD! At some point I witnessed the chef counting the cash at his workstation, then using calculator, while his colleague was browsing his smartphone. This is absolutely forbidden to be in contact with cash or personal items like smartphone when handling the food, especially when we are talking about raw seafood. That is gross, totally unprofessional and poses extreme poisoning hazard for the guests.
We ended up paying THB 5,979 (USD 180) for the mediocre quality food including the premium products that we never received in reality - they were substituted by cheap analogues, lower quality alternatives or manipulated the product weight (shown/promised in menu vs actually served). This is absolutely disgusting experience, we felt cheated, robbed and dishonored. Think twice and better go to the descent places that have pride, dignity and that care about their customers - lots of them are available in...

Read moreValue-for-money restaurant for good quality toro maguros, uni, unagi etc. priced at 60THB per piece. It is recommended to order the more premium cuts mentioned above rather than salmons or shrimps because everything was the same price. Portion was a bit too small, therefore we had to order a lot resulting in 1000THB spent per person which was too expensive for...
