Taste really good, but the price is wayyyy too high for the mini portion. I got this Rosie cake eaten in the restaurant, this plate costs about 333 baht with service charge. A cake this size, not in the hotel, no Michelin star, size smaller than a woman’s hand, at this price? 😅
The cake I ordered is La Rosie, their signature cake. It contains rose yogurt mousse with Lychee Raspberry compote in the middle and vanilla sponge. The cake lacks acidity and freshness that I expected from Ispahan flavor (Lychee/Rose/Raspberry). While the taste is good, I don’t think it’s better than other Entremet cakes offered at other hotels like Mandarin Oriental, not better enough to justify the price jump.
But anyways, if you’ve got money to spend and don’t mind the price, buy it! I probably won’t revisit because there are other choices out there with similar taste but much...
Read moreThe price is really high. But not only the desserts look yummy and beautiful, they also come with good amount and suitable for people who don't really like sweet. The milkshake chocolate is too bitter for me (tbh everything made of chocolate of this cafe is a bit bitter for me coz I have a sweet tooth) I also ordered Mix berry smoothie and it tasted weird to me, like I've never tasted anything like this before. My friend ordered some Chinese tea I don't remember, she said it's like the original (I guess it's good then?) Hazelnut Macaron is the best, I like it a lot! (Didn't take any photos thought) There's an afternoon tea set too but you have to book it beforehand. The place looks classic and elegant but there's no parking space so we had to park in Donki. The service is alright, the...
Read moreThe antique and cozy decor, the mouth-watering food, the attention to detail… Impeccable! I have been struggling to find real macarons in Bangkok and when I tasted theirs, that’s when I knew the chef at Patisserie Rosie was like you say in French: Une perle rare ✨
Every time that we go, he uses real ingredients in all the dishes and pastries (not cheap substitutes like some restaurants), which absolutely justifies the price. You pay for the quality of the food after all.
I’ve eaten there and at several ‘French’ restaurants in Bangkok and it’s the only restaurant where I return because he understands that the essence of French cuisine is to explore and experiment with the traditional ways without losing the essence.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he gets at least a Michelin...
