If you’re like me, I swear by Google reviews of establishments when I travel. The Reviews preceding this one (mine) brought me to Rocky’s - and so, I felt obligated to “testify” as well, and to ‘co-sign’ on Rocky and his place. It was great. Tbh, I only kind of ‘half-thought’ that I would meet this guy, “Rocky” who owned the place. But when I walked in - after a couple of smiles and hellos from his friendly staff…he was the first to greet me. “Hi, I’m Rocky - what’s your name?” “Eric, this is Joe and Andy…” etc. until he had introduced me to more than half the bar…the moment I walked in. The night progressed in much the same way, with each new patron that walked in - although, I was now introduced as a friend of his to all who entered after me. A small, personal touch - that felt like such a huge welcome when you are in a new place. The beers were cold, the music and atmosphere was super chill and friendly — and everyone on his staff and in/around his establishment felt like “family” and friends.
