The acidity was bright, the seasoning was spot on, and it danced on my tongue like a well-produced hook line in a hit song.

The cocktail list was equally impressive, with creative concoctions that balanced sweet, sour, and bitter with elegance. The mixologists clearly know what they are doing — they create drinks with layers, much like the best songwriting.

She wasn’t just friendly — she was attentive, thoughtful, and sincerely caring. Throughout the night, Pingpong checked in at just the right moments, always with a smile that felt genuine. She anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. She didn’t just serve us — she took care of us. She made us feel like we belonged there, like we were more than just customers. It’s easy to have a beautiful venue. It’s easy to have good food. It’s harder to have a Pingpong — someone who leaves you with a personal memory. Pingpong — if you read this, know that you made the evening exceptional. Great views, good food, horrible management.

A part of the reason we booked this place for Valentines was that they promised a “complementary glass of Champagne” when we made the reservation and paid the deposit. The waiter welcomed us and said we would receive our “glass of Prosecco.” I pointed out that the two were not the same and referred to the email. She understood but seemed a bit taken aback and said she would check with the manager.

Time passed, and we sat there for 35 minutes with only water. After a few polite reminders, the manager arrived, and his response shocked me. He stubbornly insisted that he couldn’t understand why we expected Champagne. I showed him the email, which he dismissed.

“But it’s signed by Jane—isn’t she your employee?” I asked.

“Yes,” he reluctantly admitted. “But when did you book?”

I explained that it was yesterday but didn’t understand why that was relevant. At this point, I struggled to hide my sincere disappointment. His argument now was that they couldn’t afford (!) to serve Champagne with this menu and that their New Year’s menu, which did include real Champagne, was much more expensive. I explained that it wasn’t our problem that they had promised and sold something they couldn’t afford to provide.

His ability to push his own problems onto us as customers was unparalleled and extremely arrogant. However, we all wanted to salvage the evening, and the compromise was two glasses of white or red wine instead of the one we had originally been promised. Note that we had paid a 2500 baht deposit beforehand, and I spent a significant amount of time transferring it via Wise. I was reluctant to both the amount and the method, which is not very professional or smooth, but went through as my girlfriend really wanted to dine there.

When the waiter returned—who was very kind—I calmly explained how I felt about the situation and that we would never have stayed if we hadn’t already paid the deposit. That we had been promised and paid for a BMW but were given a Skoda instead. She agreed. I hope the owners of the place will read this.

The food was fine, especially the lamb chops, which were very tender. View is clearly amazing, ambience good, and cocktails great. However, it was steep at around 160 USD for two people...

Our experience at Above Eleven was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment we stepped into this chic, classy setting, we were captivated by the breathtaking panoramic view of Bangkok. The skyline, lit up against the sunset sky, felt like a scene straight out of a movie—a perfect backdrop for a memorable evening.

The Peruvian cuisine was memorable and truly unique to Bangkok. Every dish, crafted by their talented native Peruvian chef, was of flavors and textures that triggered my taste buds - Sabrosa!!! From the perfectly prepared chicken to the savory salmon with herbs and avocado, every bite was an exquisite journey through authentic Peruvian gastronomy. It was a delightful and unexpected culinary experience right in the heart of Bangkok!

A huge shout-out to the amazing staff who made our evening even more special. GM Pravin’s warm welcome and attention to detail were outstanding, but it was Gina and Marina who truly made our evening unforgettable

Gina’s service was exceptional from start to finish. Her knowledge of the menu, wine options and thoughtful recommendations elevated our dining experience. Her warm, attentive demeanor made us feel genuinely cared for. She went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect, checking in regularly to see if we needed anything and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. Gina’s charm and professionalism truly stood out, making us feel like VIPs throughout the evening.

Hostess Marina also deserves special recognition. Despite not having a reservation, she graciously accommodated us and found us a perfect table, with a stunning view and a table candle that danced to a mellow breeze. Her friendly and welcoming attitude immediately put us at ease. Marina’s ability to manage a busy evening with such grace and efficiency was impressive, and her dedication to ensuring every guest has a wonderful experience is truly commendable.
