I would like to share some feedback regarding my recent experience at your establishment and appreciate if you can take it as suggestions and not complain.
I made a reservation online the day before my visit, and two hours before our scheduled arrival, I received a call informing me that the table came with a condition of a minimum spend of 1,500 THB per person. Since there were two of us, I agreed to this without issue, why this conditions are not specified on the on line reservation??
However, upon our arrival at 9 PM, as per our booking, we found that our table was occupied by another couple who were still drinking. The hostess informed us that our table was currently unavailable but that they would ask the guests to leave. In the meantime, we were seated at a tall bar table and ordered drinks. Before we ordered, the hostess reiterated the minimum spending condition, but this time it was 3,500 THB for two people, rather than the 3,000 THB mentioned earlier. When I inquired about the discrepancy, the hostess responded, somewhat curtly, that the minimum spend was indeed 3,500 THB and asked if I was okay with it.
After the previous guests left, we were finally seated at our reserved table. However, upon placing our first order, we were asked to provide our bank card, which the staff intended to hold until the end of the evening. I’m curious if this is standard practice, as I understand the need to secure revenue, but this approach felt somewhat intrusive.
During the salsa lesson we have to keep an eye to our table as anyone can seat and place their belonging, why service staff doesn’t keep away other people from tables with minimum spending and with our own belonging on it like bags and cellphones? Is this not include in the “minimum spending?”
Additionally, I observed that there seemed to be no clear policy at the entrance regarding the dress code or conduct of guests, as some were dressed casually, akin to beach attire, and others appeared to linger with a single bottle of beer, occupying seating for extended periods.
In total, we spent nearly 5,000 THB, which I might add, is a considerable amount. In comparison to other establishments in Bangkok, this level of service—where our table was initially occupied, and my card was held—was unexpected.
Btw, we will come back for sure, but next time without booking a table as seems that spending even only a money for a single beer, the service, atmosphere and attentions are exactly the same.
I hope this feedback is helpful in improving the experience for...

Read moreGave Havana Social a 2 out of 5 purely because the music and band were excellent, but everything else about the experience was disappointing and borderline exploitative.
We were charged a cover of 4,000 THB for two people, which we were told could be redeemed against drinks. However, with most drinks priced around 380 THB, it forces you to either overconsume or overspend. To make up the redemption efficiently, we opted to order a bottle of champagne.
Despite this, we were seated at a table with no view of the band. While not ideal, it was still acceptable since the music was genuinely good. The problem was the waitstaff’s constant interruptions. They kept approaching us, pouring drinks without asking, and repeatedly showing us the running total of our bill, which felt more like pressure selling than actual service.
Once we crossed the 4,000 THB spend, they brought us the bill almost immediately. That was still fine. What was completely unacceptable was what happened next. We stepped away from the table to dance, only a few feet away, and when we returned, everything had been cleared, including the champagne that was still partially full. The staff casually said they thought we had left, without checking or confirming anything. It felt deliberate, like they wanted to push us out so they could reseat someone else.
The entire experience felt predatory. It was obvious they were more interested in churning tables and increasing revenue than providing a genuine experience. I’ve been to this club before and had a great time. This time it was clear that with their growing popularity, they’ve shifted from quality service to manipulation and short-term monetization tactics.
There was also clear profiling at the entrance. Different guests were charged different fees based on arbitrary or visual judgment with no transparency.
What used to be one of Bangkok’s most atmospheric speakeasies is now operating with shady, pressure-based service and discriminatory practices. Hugely...
